Re: W6700sp help!
Got it, what we use is an exit tray that is sold by "Copier Solution Shop". The new exit tray will allow "e" size documents to exit to the front of the W6700 and they don't have to use the rear exit. I believe it will stack 50 or so. All of my clients love and their has never been a complaint. Here's the link https://www.copiersolutionshop...put-tray-rot-1.html, I will check for a video. I thought I posted one in the "pic's" section of this site.

Re: High Volume Updates
RICOH PRO 907/1107/1357 PRODUCTION PRINTER FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS Q. Where do the new Pro Series Production Printers fit in the Ricoh high volume monochrome printer product line? A. The new Pro Series Production Printers are successors to the highly successful Digital Document Publisher models, the DDP70e and the DDP92. Those models were initially brought into the Ricoh product family through the acquisition of Hitachi. Technically, the 70-ppm Digital Document Publisher 70e is being...

Yesterday while on site the end user informed me that if he printed the document to PDF from Indesign which will print the document to a file, then tries to print the original Indesign document, it will print. After creating a PDF but not printing that PDF but printing the same document in Indesign, why will it then print. Does it do something to the original document when it is printed to PDF, fix some errors in the document? When trying to print the original document in...

Re: JOINT STATEMENT BY SHARP ELECTRONICS CORPORATION AND EDWARD MCLAUGHLIN
Braxtoq, I think that the larger point is that the GUI is irrelevant. We (who have been in the industry for a while) can remember selling 75 and 85 ppm machines for $40 - $50k. Now they are talking about 75 and 85 ppm A4 machines for under $10k. The question is how you make up the revenue, and that has to be on services - and Sharp is not well positioned due to their thin direct side. Also, since they are print copy oriented (I don't think that they really make money on scanning), they are...

The reviews on the Ricoh are just aas good! Find out what the customer is looking for the wide format to do besides copy. Look for key features where 2400WD will excel: 12x18 paper tray Easy Scan2Folder (no KIP Request) RPCS Driver is great is only printing pdf's and tiffs, maybe combine a 5 user license of e-copy for markups. The ability to stack originals for scanning (Kip has to be done at a time) Two Paper Output sources for Ricoh (One for KIP) Dig a little deeper for their needs and...

Art: Thanks for the input. Sorry if these questions are a bit out in left field. Wideformat isn't my specialty. What do you mean by (no KIP request) under Scan2Folder? Isn't the 2400wd TWAIN only with Plotbase? What do you mean by the ability to stack originals for scanning? Are these features available on the 2400wd or only the 2404? I appreciate your help.

Re: 2232/38 series productivity!
One of my sales reps had this reply: "The reason the Ricoh was faster was because it has True Adobe Postscript 3, where as Canon and Xerox 'emulate'. It is always faster to print PDF's with Adobe Postscript 3. This guy needs to run a MS PowerPoint presentation through all three machines and see how they stack up." This is why Canon includes postscript 3 with all their MFP's and Ricoh has it as an option on their MFP's. Emulation is cheaper than the real deal.

Re: Copies exiting problem?
I can assure you, it’s not a level problem. It’s a poor design. I’ve made guides out of the cardboard corner packing you receive with equipment and attached to the back of the roll feed. Works great, however, it won’t stack the 20 sheets anyway. And why does Ricoh want you to BEND OVER to get your copies when you can get 25 sheets stacked neatly standing up???

Re: Print Mail vs. PrintShop Mail
Docusultant, I'm not sure what to think of PrintMail yet, and that's why I thought hearing from people who have used both PrintMail and PrintShop Mail would be informative. I will say that some of the functions in PrintMail are more complex to perform than I would expect of an application geared toward a general Office user (the suppression of blank line feature and the dynamic image feature, to name two examples). Frankly, I am concerned about trying to teach an average Office user how to...

Some more points. Windows Driver is GDI only! Probably very slow when printing pdf from various clients! Users can't stack scan like the 240W, the must scan and remove each page one at a time. Another waste of time! You must press the stop button after every copy (got this right from the OP manual). No Photo exposure, no text photo, all I saw in the manual was three adjustments for Contrast and three adjustments for Exposure. Shaft Paper Roll! Hold onto to your back and clear a large space...

Re: Any comparison of Ricoh 240-480 vs Xerox 6204
Checked out the new Xerox at a customer's site and this is what I found: Meter reading displays separate meter read for each roll. Need to slide doc feed forward and actually lift off the machine to clear jam in doc feed area. Originals are right justified to scan or copy versus centering like the 240W. To make copy, you need to use touch screen panel to select "Synchro". If you don't select, you will get a copy that is a standard size with lots of blank paper around the image. Scan to...

Re: Table for the new FW240
Art - this is confusing to me on the price sheet. The brochure is a little more clear. It lists the "Cut Sheet Feed Table" as an option for manual feeding of cut sheet paper. The 20-sheet paper catch (stack)tray is listed as one of the two standard output trays (the other being the verticle upper output tray). Too bad it isn't spelled out better in the pricing, but hopefully this clears it up. Thanks

Re: Question with full bleed 8.5 x 11 true edge to edge
The best bet, in order to maximize his return on the investment he made in the system, is to print 2-up on 12 x 18 and cut. If Inkjet quality is acceptable, the Memjet would be a solid & affordable option. It's speed is quite impressive, but based on what I've seen, the print quality still doesn't stack up to laser, regardless of the paper stock.
