Re: Scan Router and POP3

Concerning Scan Router Pro, has anyone heard of the ability to route incoming faxes to a specific desktop based on the incoming RTI header? I am working on an account looking for this ability and the only function I am aware of is SR Pro subnet adressing. Any info? Thanks, Scott

Tried your suggestion and while that got the output closer to the way it should be it still was not right. Thankfully the customer very much wants to do business with us that they are goin to option B buy the Savin 2560 for everyone's use but buy an HP 45ppm printer for the person who needs to print from this software. Desired ending but would still like to find a solution. Thanks, Scott

For some reason or the other you probably need to go in to sp modes and clear the memory of the scan function. That should fix it. Good luck, Scott

By the way the recommended volumes are incresed on the 2090 and 2105. There have been many mechanical changes to make the equipment more reliable at higher volumes. Scott

Re: Nextday4free.com

Scott Holloway ·
In this situation, do not match the price of the web site. As mentioned, create pain in the customers mind as to the reason they should pay more to get the service your company provides. Ask the prospect what they will do when the equipment they purchase from the web breaks? You know it will happen but nobody knows when. The service your company offers is worth the difference in price. Scott

Re: 2090/2105 SR90 Booklet maker

Scott Holloway ·
Thanks for the information. The purpose behind my inquiry was to get feedback from those that have the SR85 installed. We have one and have had such experiences that the ownership doesn't want to sell the new SR90 and I have an opportunity to place to 90's with 1 having the SR90. Thanks, Scott

Re: Canon eCopy

Pete Maimone (Guest) ·
Scott, What specifically is their application? Remember, the 2035/45, 1224/32, the 2090/2105, and 1060/75 all come with scan to e-mail out of the box. If they are sending to less than 2000 destinations, and don't require authentication. You're good to go out of the box. I'm told there is a way to create a csv? file form you e-mail address book and upload to the copier via smartnet monitor. If they require authentication or direct access to mailserver then you add Global Scan. Pete M.

Scott: Of course one of the ways i keep up is with this web site, I can learn hardware and software as I "need to know" and still concentrate on prospecting, demoing and closing. To the new "recruit", how can one possible learn the features and benefits of the entire Ricoh line. We (COPI) sell the entire line, out of eight sales people we probably have two that have the knowledge to "sell it all"! Scott: I see it as a positive. The fact of the matter is, "it is what it is" and it's not going away. You must be a professional in the business today. This means you must continuously learn about the technology that you build solutions around. And that technology changes at least a little with each new product that is released into the field. Then you must know the pros and cons of your product as it relates to your competition. Then you must take that knowledge and learn the skill to...

Re: Aficio 200

Try turnig off jam detection. That will eliminate any sensors. Try running through the bypass, that will eliminate feed clutches. Be sure reassembly was done properly, look for pinched wires or guides out of position, also that the clutch stopper is seatted properly. If there was not a jamming problem before the clutch was changed the problem was probably tech induced, which can sometimes be the hardest to figure out. Good luck scott

Re: Panasonic Dumps Dealers, Keeps all but a handful!!!!

Art Post (Guest) ·
FWIW, we haven't been a pandealer for many years now, and can still order parts, anything we want.. . . from MSC. What is MSC? I just got off the phone with Scott, my (former) sales rep. Apparently Panasonic cut 15,000 jobs nationwide (last day is end of February), and dumped all but the top handful of dealers. Those employees who lost their jobs can re-apply, but the "new" positions will be far fewer. Here's what I know so far: -If you have an existing Parts account, you'll keep it. Whew.

Thought I'd share what I wrote to Scott.. We've got several units out there, but I really don't have a handle on actual yields as yet. I do have high expectations, though. So far reliably, we've had no issues. Even have a client who runs a bunch of envelopes with no cutting into the master, another benefit of its thickness. Haven't done much color work, possibly due to the limited standard colors. I heard a rumour that Ricoh was trying to see if they make this Seri compatible. We'll see. For...

There have been some occassions where I have forgotten where the lead originated, however I try to make up for this with "special consideration". There were four nominees that I heard of and they were: ACDI FM Audit Paper Cut Square 9 Where is DocuWare, Nuance, Print Audit, PSIGEN, MWAI and the others? Which got me to thinking. I agree Rick Taylor has done a superb job at KM but I think he does win it every year. Rightfully so in my opinion, but I also believe Cannata uses the same dealers every year. Since I met them a couple years ago and we use 4 or 5 partners on the lists now we have been included in the voting for the last 2 years.

Ty for the comment, I think the same about Taylor. So, unless those dealers change who they use as third party supplies, none of the other will ever get on the list.
