COVID19 "Remote Working" Day Thirty-Six of Sales
Working from home is something I never liked doing. In the past I've worked from my office when there were snow days, bad weather or days leading up to and after a major holiday. The reason I never liked working from home is because I can get distracting with other items when my mind roams. Whether it's watching the news, tending to the yard or just fix something that I've been itching to fix for a long time. I guess it's my adult ADD. A few weeks ago I decided to write my self a little note...

Imagined Possibilities take Investments
Many will stick with what they know as they budget for what they need to know a fatal mistake. It seems as many see no value in investing it what could be based on what should be. After all, why would anyone pay for a maybe? Well, the innovators are doubling down their bets that the old way sticks to that thinking. “The price paid to explore can be defined while the true cost of unawareness; however, greater may never be known.” It’s that undetermined fee toward improvement which usually...

Invest in Yourself and Get Outstanding Sales Results
First, I'd like to give kudos to the person on Linkedin who made mention of "investing" in yourself. Can't remember who it was and it might have been Earl Everson. Earl, if it was you thanx for giving me the idea to write about "investing in your sales career". If it wasn't you, I'll have to make sure that I thank that person. Okay, first, I'm not much for doing video's. I like video's but don't enjoy seeing my-self in them. Does anyone else feel that way? I guess I just like to write. Do...

now that's interesting. Most of the dinners in NJ are owned by Greeks, wonder if that might have been a hold over tradition from previous owners of the diners.

Not sure, but some think it has to do with the hospitality of the NJ people to serve something special for every guest. The Norwegians were fasting on Friday so they wanted to eat healthy (and much) on Thursday..

Investment companies buying independent copier dealerships
I received this email from a Print4Pay Hotel member the other day. @gap Hello Art, For the last two or three years investment companies have been buying independent copier dealerships. We've been seeing this all throughout the United States and I know of others in other parts of the world. The conversation with an industry professional that is smarter than me he suggested that this is a Wall Street ploy being architected by the investment community. The goal is to purchase several different...

Re: Investment companies buying independent copier dealerships
Yes, I believe that this is definitely the strategy. Konica Minolta/Danka, Ricoh/IKON, Xerox/Global Imaging, and Staples/DEX are prime examples of this coming to fruition. I expect that there will be more of this type of activity in the very near future and I'm just waiting for it to happen. I think that Xerox and HP are two ideal candidates to purchase a mega dealer based on their recent channel acquisitions in the UK (and Xerox in Canada). Both companies have also stated that they will...

Malwarebytes plans massive MSP program growth with new US$100m investment
A month after laying off 125 employees, Malwarebytes is talking about hiring again after receiving a US$100 million investment that the security vendor plans to use to massively expand its MSP partnership program. US-based Vector Capital earlier this week announced it was making the minority $100 million investment to, among other things, promote Malwarebytes’ product innovation and consolidate its ownership structure.
