A Recent Copier Appointment That Went From Bad to Good

My second appointment of the day proved to one of the most enjoyable appointments I've had in recent memory. It was with an existing account that was in the last 3 months of a 36 month lease for an A3 color MFP. The account only has one, but so do most of my accounts. I'd like to say I flourish with onesies and twosies. Just a tip for some of you that may be new in the copier business. When quoting leasing always lead with a 36 month lease. Re: Connect the MFPs you sell to any folder

When connecting an MFP to say DropBox, the MFP still doesn't allow for an end-user to view that DropBox's folder tree (without added software), correct? So essentially the customer scans to DropBox, heads back to their computer, and then searches around the DropBox folder until they find their scanned file - which isn't much different than the issue the end-user described in the first place? Am I correct in this? I've been looking around for a solution that can help with this that won't...

Re: Connect the MFPs you sell to any folder

Hi Iris, Thank you for the response! This helps, but the folders still need to be pre-defined, which would be the same thing as setting up a shared folder, no? And the MFP can do that natively. So out of the box, the installing technician could conceivably set up "Scan to Dropbox -Orders," "Scan to Drop-Box - Leads," "Scan to Drop-Box - Accounts Receivable" since no software is needed for this. Or am I incorrect? It sounds like the major plus to Udocx would be the ability to view the folder...

This just sounds to me like Facilities Management under a different name. Facilities Management is the practice of setting up a printing operation within a company as a service to the company. The people operating the equipment are employees of the Facilities Management company not the corporation. It is buying the apples, not the tree taken to the extreme. It's not uncommon that all postal services are packaged in as well. As far as MFP seat licensing...I don't see it ever coming to pass.

I had to completely destroy the pots to get the trees out. Both trees had stopped growing a year or so ago. They did not die, they just stopped growing - they were root bound. In life or in business, if we stop...
