The short answer is yes. It would have to be initiated by someone at the point of failure. I would teach someone there how to change things in the event that the server goes down with the intent of switching things back once the server is back on line. The incoming fax can either go to the Fax Document Server or there is such a thing as "Locked Fax". Like Locked Print, it stores the incoming fax in the copier harddrive until an authorized code is entered to release them. Don't ask me how to...

MP C6004SP & Fax Routing to Folder

Had an interesting question posed to me and I don't know if there is a way to make a change with the MFP settings for Fax. On occasions the customers server will go down, during the time that the server is down, incoming faxes will not route to the fax folder, they will then print. The client can't have these faxes out in the open? Is there a setting with the MFP that we could make a change that the faxes would not print but be kept on the hard drive until released?
