When I was at the Print on Demand Show in Boston, I saw the Sharp box and at first glance it looked like a Ricoh! Now, today I got to see it again. Is everything the same except for the engine, even the engine seems similiar, it it wasn't for Ricoh having the toner on the lower left. I'd swear this was a Ricoh box. Art

Art, How big is there Active Directory? If you are using the basic syntax CN=Users, dc=abc, dc=com ? If they have multiple OUs (Organizational Units) you may be able to use this syntax OU=Users, OU=Dallas, dc=abc, dc=com Then set up another LDAP search for a different location OU=Users, OU=Boston, dc=abc, dc=com This way each location has a quicker and separate LDAP search. You old employer will not be able to completely stop you from making a living in your field. In fact the more restrictive the non compete is the less likely a Judge will be inclined to honor it. Can you post the non compete agreement (just sanitize the names on it). I have heard of a Judge who allowed the ex employer to pick a very limited area (NOT New England, but maybe Boston proper) this leaves many other territories available for a Sales Rep to work. The metric sizes start the largest defined size, "A0", and get smaller as the numbers go up. A4 is similar to Letter size(8.4x11.8), B5 is actually smaller, around 7x10, and B4 is about legal size (10x14.1). A3 is closest to 11x17 (12x16.8). Like everthing metric, the system is a logical progression. A0 is exactly 1 square meter (even though it isn't square, it's about 33x48 in inches, similar to our Arch E size). I just visited a dealer in the greater Boston area and he carries the Ricoh WF, Xerox WF, KIP WF and KM WF. I have seen a 240W labeled Toshiba and he mentioned that he also has seen a 240W labeled with Toshiba!! Here in CT we see it labeled as Ricoh, Savin, Gestetner, Lanier, GEI, and once as Toshiba.

mnchstr I may have a unique perspective being at an Independent Canon Dealer for 25 years and spending 2+ years at RBS (Ricoh Business Systems) as The Boston Region (NE) Solutions Manager. Re: Global Scan NX Server 32 Question
Art, I never did a lot with Global Scan when I was at Ricoh Business Systems \ Boston but I have done some work with OCR and large format. It is not an easy task. The amount of data that has to be processed, especially since most of the Wide Format is drawings and not text. If you can set a specific zone to OCR maybe it would work better. But at least the last time I looked at it, it didn't turn out very successful. Again, I didn't use GlobalScan, so maybe it will turn out better for you.
