Ricoh SP C842dn printer "Stack Overflow" error
We recently installed the above design. All works well except for one file from InDesign. The printer is showing a "stack overflow" error 84. Our client has two other Ricoh devices SP C821dn and Ricoh MP C6503 with fiery. That document will print fine on both of those devices with no errors. Any ideas?

This Week in the Copier Industry 5 Years Ago (Second Week of March 2015)
I arrived back in town from Aruba late on Monday. Yup, I took a vacation and rarely accessed the internet! Yay for me. To say the least I came back to state that is in pure panic mode with corona virus. Tuesday was not so bad as four opportunities went HOT. Did the work that I had to and subsequent days produced almost nothing, no email responses, no phone call responses and in four days I was only able to set four meetings for next week. Starting on Monday I'll be sending ZOOM requests for...

Re: On-Site Staff Stationed at MPS Clients
This is a hard one, there are no fixed rules as such and we look at it on a case by case basis. We tend to see it more with operators running centralized print rooms. We have one site with 2,500 devices where this is economical and its included in an all inclusive per page rate (includes hardware service, solutions, staff & toner) I have seen proposals where it has been done as follows 1. Pay the customer 40K a year or whatever to employe their own staff member to look after the...

Memjet v. HP: 3D Printing to Be Excused from the Courtroom?
The perception from some corners of the world regarding 3D printing might be that not too long ago everyone was communing in a rather unspoiled and lawless state of sharing where all the tinkerers and hackers got along swimmingly as they worked on and even helped each other to improve a veritable gold mine of inventions. Truthfully though, from the bigger picture, patents have been running the show behind the scenes since the beginning, with many of them just expiring and perhaps loosening...

Re: Ricoh SP C842dn printer "Stack Overflow" error
Art, Make sure you load the actual Ricoh Driver and that they aren't using the Microsoft "Lite" Drivers. Then there are some PS Settings that could be changed. I assume that you are using PS, correct. Look for the PS Setting that says "Optimize for Speed" and change it to "Optimize for Portability. Sometimes I have had to drop the PS to level 2 for certain files to print. Hope this is helpful. Vince

This video won us a wide format deal
One of my reps cam to me where he was up against the Canon Tz30000, the client loved the stacking feature of the Canon. Of course I had nothing like this with our new Ricoh IM C2200. All I had was a video that I did with our previous MP W2201 stacking prints. Most will tell you that the Ricoh can't stack, however if you have tray aka basket positioned properly it will stack. Seems the video did the trick and also pricing the Canon consumables.
