Re: Things getting weird for Xerox Dealers

Toner in my Blood ·
Very strange. I interact with the CRG on a regular basis and have had no indication of reduced staff, etc. I can’t comment on your issue with parts as we do not rely on xerox to send our parts, we stock and replenish out of our own warehouse. No substantial difference between xerox parts on b/o than Canon or HP. Not nearly as bad as Ricoh. We dropped the ricoh product years ago as we couldn’t handle the constant toner b/o issues. Parts I can somewhat understand, but toner? Hope that your...

Thanks Sam for that nice viewpoint. By the way I really enjoyed looking at your website...there was alot of eye opening info there....thanks! GIntel: Let me give you another example that starts to get tricky when you have a buyout to consider. Here is the formula: (Machine Cost + Buyout + Profit) X rate factor = total monthly payment that should be (but does not need to be) less than CURRENT monthly payment for similar equipment. Define similar equipment? That means if they have a 20ppm unit...

Re: Q. How does your company handle networking charges?

Jomama ·
My rule is, if they need more training, or something wrong or inconvenient with the way I set up the print scan, I'll make it right, no charge. If they add a workstation and want it configured,if they changed their router/switch, decide (after 60 days or so) they need a different configuration, or some O/S related problem, that is chargeable. A case in point, a customer called me saying his can scan to folder icon has disappeared from his desktop. I suggested that the cleanup wizard has...

Yep, we got off to a slow start as well. Ricoh said we were running at the top of their growth list. Wondering where we are fairing at the moment. The light's on though. Already at 85% of this months quota and only 10% from List. Sounds like we may all have felt a little bit O' da world here at home... Re: Current Lease Rates

All this talk about rates looks at leasing only from a selfish point of view without regard to the commitment your customer will make based on your recommendation. You can't ignore rates but what about forced insurance, late fees and grace periods, renewal terms, buy-out options and expenses, whether there will be property Tax assessed and how accurate will be the assessment... For these reasons and more, I'm willing to have a slightly higher rate (.0271 - o Down - 36mo. FMV) with American...

Think of the 4101 as a 1013F that is 25 ppm and had color scanning. What I mean is the 1st copy time is a SLOW 12 seconds!!!The platen is 8.5x11 only, 30 sheet ADF (not ARDF), it only ways 70lbs. where the 2022 is 188lbs. w/o the ARDF. It appears to not have any speed or quick dials, no finishing...I don't even think it has zoom. Maximum paper capacity is only 1600 sheets (600 standard). The dispay is an LCD with navigation buttons like our Aficio 200/250 used to be. It does have color...

He must be trying to flood search engines with pages to bury his past as a convicted pedophile in the latter pages of searches, but it's not like a lot of people are out there searching for Jim Ivy of Ricoh. It's kind of funny what you can find if you do, though: http://jimivyricoh.wordpress.c...o-be-a-board-member/ At some point, Ricoh has to intervene and stop him from associating himself with them.

The following protocols, services, and port numbers are used between ScanRouter server and I/O device. TCP/IP Protocol FTP Port: 3670 (As control port) FTP Port: 1024-65535 random (As data port) HTTP Port: 80 (For XML data) SNMP Port: 161 (For I/O device settings) When browsing the I/O device from ScanRouter Delivery Server, HTTP and SNMP are used. For firewall purposes, ports 80, 161, and 3670 need to be open. Random port numbers normally go through firewalls without any issues.

If I remember correctly, the 2035e offers scan to folder w/o Scan Router when upgraded with printing and scanning. This is more important with the 4035esp (scanning and printing included). This is was one of the first 40 series generation to come out and SMB scanning wasn't available at the time. Most new units are e's.
