Like Art, it is rare that a 6700 leaves here without the aftermarket try. Just a heads up on that tray.......if the customer bumps into the tray there is a very good chance that the metal tray will fall on your customer's feet. I had it happen to me. To see what I mean mount the tray on your 6700 and push the tray forward in the center......the two hooks will disengage and the tray will come crashing down. I came up with a very simple modification to this tray that will eliminate the...

You can call it whatever you want tariff/ tax but if your cost of goods increases by up to 10% this fall solely due to actions by the Trump Administration we will see if you feel the same by Jan 2019. You seem a bit naive in thinking that a tariff is not a tax. I am sure Ricoh will not share you opinion on selling less new equipment in favor of used gear.

What is even more scary is how your commission cheques will fall in $ value if you only sell A4 copiers. The copier/printer market is not getting any larger and if a commission sales rep focuses on selling lower $ value A4 boxes, they are going to have to make a lot more sales calls and sell a lot more boxes to earn the same money.

So some clarification first. PaperCut absolutely does support Mac. In fact, it is the only cost recovery/print control solution that I know of that actually installs in an all Mac environment. (Server and Client) It also is the only solution I know of that installs in a Linux environment. So both of your issues are solved with PaperCut. I included the install guides for Mac and Linux to get you started.

I think it is obvious what you do with people who don't want to work. It is just as obvious what to do with people who DO want to work! Incentives can be a great way to move a product or idea, but dis-incentives are more personal and can be very disruptive for that individual (ie: income tax, sales activity micromanagement). I am a firm believer that good salespeople like to behave as if they run their own business. When governing bodies try to enforce restrictions, penalties, and/or lessen...

Re: Are Step Leases ethical business practise?

One of the biggest victims of Step Leases are Non Profit agencies and charities. The people there turn over frequently, are not lease savy and beleive the salesperson when he says you can upgrade the lease before the paymnents increase. These poorly qualified Decision Makers, do not fully understand the consequences of the back end obligation they have just taken on. Business that are lease savy with experience are much less likely to fall to this kind of lease activity.

Ricoh and Canon both say they are number 1 in the US and they are both right depending on how you are counting. Canon includes its desktop MFPs that sell in retail and Ricoh includes all MFPs priced above $1,000. Both include products that sell through any channel, but Canon has far more retail products that skew sales share in its favor. By Ricoh's math, it is number 1 with a 23.1 US share, followed by Canon. Ricoh also stated that it had the #1 color mfp share in 2009 (7 straight years)...

Many drums fall short for a variety of reasons. A little know secret in the industry is that you would only get "x" amount of pages based on multiple page prints. Sell Ricoh and Canon. In my opinion, I feel the ease use from a user perspective is much stronger with Ricoh than Canon. The dealer support is stronger with Ricoh. I like Ricoh color much more than Canon. I do not spend much attention to the units in general as they are just a by product. My main focus is solving problems within an organization. A lot of confusion around this topic. The leasing companies have a beat-down coming if they continue to falsely promote their FMV promo rates as "0% leases". The sum of 36 payments, $9,999.72 ($10,000). Problem? The machine still belongs to the lessor. Assuming that the residual value was 15% ($1,500), plug the...

The Theory in general is that the large U.S. Companies sacrifice their profits (which can be determined by looking at the price of a barrel of crude vs. the price of a gallon of gas) around elections when they are wanting the existing party to stay in power. Why would you send the letter to the current vendor you are replacing....that is just asking for them to come in an upgrade them. Many times the current vendor lets the customer fall through the cracks and never knows what hits them until they no longer get meter reads. But also leasing companies have that vendors back and will call the vendor and let them know the customer has requested a buyout.
