When I do this I take it a step further and use directional magnification to reduce the 14" to 11" without reducing the 8.5". It makes a much better looking document when you don't have the large blank area that is caused by the straight 78% reduction.

More useful is creating scan work flows for individual users or tasks that include the destination as a shortcut on the home screen.
