Seems my Blog about the million page test was not that well received with Samsung. They complained to ENX Magazine who then pulled the blog off their site. Whatever happened to FREE Press? They were not happy that I pointed out that they used "x" amount of tree's for a 1980's type test! Since Samsung spends money with ENX, ENX pulled the blogs and is not posting any of my latest stuff. You know what, as far as I'm concerned we here this finance stuff about Sharp, Toshiba and none of the...

So this effort is eliminate "carbon copied" work orders for service techs? What is wrong with the print "workflow" when the software application that generates a service form cannot be configured to print two of the same item? This is not an easy "printer-centric" fix. The application needs to either carry this information to the printer as part of the job or you must have some print-based software (Planet Press/Dataworks) telling the printer what to do. At this point, what other problems...

Found this on the web today:: By Pavel Alpeyev Nov. 18 (Bloomberg) -- Orbis Funds, the asset manager that opposed takeover offers by Warren Buffett and Citigroup Inc., rejected Canon Inc.’s 730 million euro ($1.1 billion) bid to buy unprofitable Dutch printer maker Oce NV as too low. William Mitting, printweek.com, 23 November 2009 Shares in press manufacturer Océ are trading at a slight premium to the 8.60 euro a share offer from Canon, indicating the market anticipates Canon may be forced to raise its bid. Last week, Orbis, a 10% shareholder in Océ said that it believed the bid "significantly undervalued" Océ, despite a general impression that the bid was a strong one in order to deter a counter bid from Konica Minolta. This leads me to ask if there is any brand out there that is really good with printing onto glossy paper? I mean a fuser is a fuser no matter who makes it I thought, but maybe a certain brand fuser has some kind of advantage? And taking it further, why? Is there a different substance being used in the materials, ie: pressure or hot roller or maybe the toner adheres to the paper better with some brands, and if so what is in the toner that does that? I think Old Glory means A4. Remember, 4 is less than 3 (it's a metric thing). You should be able to create an "envelope printer" by installing a second instance of the printer with the same IP address. In the PCL 6 driver (not universal), you can go into the printer properties, print preferences, detailed settings and rotate the image 180 degrees. When you say the printer "red lights", what is the error? Is it a paper type mismatch? If so, what is it calling for? How may envelopes are they...

A single user license costs $99.00 and there is a 30 day free trial. I am not sure why MFP dealers would be trying to promote printing less pages thereby reducing their click revenues while increasing the % Toner coverage on each printed page. I see value in the product and like how it reformats documents before you print them. You could definitely save on your paper costs. It does take up to an extra two minutes per print job to figure how you want to use the software. Toner Save would not...
