Re: Need HELP! Kyocera Color A3 question

dimaxusa ·
Top three points I make when against Kyocera. #1. Take them color samples from your device and any Kyocera because the color output is sub par on all units. If you don’t have access to one look in your crm for an account you co-exist with Kyocera in. Or the next time you have a knock out make some samples and keep them in a binder. If color quality is important to the customer it will be a win. Another point is showing them you get what you pay for, meaning 3 tier color is what they have...

I agree with you, what happens once the box arrives, what they thought they were getting because product marketing for all manufacturers have a tendency to over state what they systems can and can't do. Client Pro's: Lower purchase or lease price for hardware Faster print speed than laser based vs same segment ink vs laser Unlimited pages No overage billing No unpredicted costs with overages Less downtime than laser Client Cons: Quality of prints or copies may not be equal to laser (does not matter if prints or copies stay in house) Print Head cost Ink cost may be higher than color laser, however that may be off-set by the lower purchase price Anyone care to add?

PPBG is planning on launching the Ricoh Pro C720 Series on February 1st. The Pro C720 has the same mainframe as the C900 and it's accessories are identical. This is a great addition to our product line, because it fills the gap between the Ricoh Pro C550/700EX and the Ricoh Pro C900. We really didn't have a product to compete directly against the bizhub PRO 6501 and this provides us with a much better offering. The only differences between the configurations of the Ricoh Pro C720 and the...

It would seem that it all depends on where you structure your profitability. Since Ricoh is a Japanese manufacturer and sells its product to the US Ricoh company and then US Ricoh sells it to a dealer or direct, the profits can be structured to be very little if any in the US and very profitable in Japan. Ex: cost to manufacture is 10, sell to US mfg. sales concern for 20, US concern sells it for 22, dealers or direct sell it for 24. The cost of goods to the US is high and the profits remain...

Simply handing over a copier's HDD removes the OS within the copier making it unuseable. Plus there is some labour to remove the HDD and reload the firmware onto it. At least $200 - $300.00 total vs turning on 128 Bit AES Encryption at the start - Free. Going forward, we format the HDD on all of our own brand copiers we remove. For competitors brands, where we do not know the Service Codes, we can only inform the customer of the risks.

I would say you answered your own question. Why would you double the cost of a component of your copier when the benefits are negligible? You mentioned faster access time which is true. Don't you hate standing at the copier while the screen is saying "Please wait, Accessing Hard Drive?" You mentioned 100% reliable, which is not true. They are certainly more reliable, and there's no concern about drive heads, but once again, not a lot of problems there. The most common issue with hard drives...

Sometimes the gap between the dealer rate and the reps rate is due to a lower rate negotiated by the dealer in return for using ABC Leasing vs XYZ Leasing or it may be tied to a promised annual volume that if unmet, results in a chargeback. From: Ted Sent: 11/22/2002 6:28 AM I'm sure it would not have been difficult for Ricoh to put the same features, i.e. all the user stamp functions and booklet making mode on the 3800CMF. However, they still need a reason for us to sell the B (&W) 35cpm machines. Once they get the cost of the black toner cost down, the 35cpm, in my opinion, will become obsolete. You can easily cost justify the 3800CMF vs the AF1035 with all the extra you get. Just the cost of the Black is too high right now.

I had this come up with a vehicle manufacturer and they print an enormous amount of check prints in that size. We convinced them to use a connected digital copier (1022-1027-1035)because of the cost difference. $0.025 cpc(11x17) vs $0.196 per linear ft.(470 ems) About a $225.00 per month difference in cost.
