Often the same Decision Maker is not around 3-5 years from now, so you will have to remind the new DM about the extra freight costs they incurred with their present copier vendor. Plus this time around you will take care of that hassle and expense for them by a line item in your new quotation.

Curious if you've competed against Canon for years or whether their presence in your area is rather limited. While there is a lot of overhead to consider (parts, inventory, training techs, training sales etc.) would there be a large base Canon MIF where you could gain a greater share of market with your offerings - if your strength is customer service and growth then look hard but if you're only good at maintaining present customers maybe continue to strive for the lead dog position. Re: PCL Print Error
Illegal media source simply means that the requested paper tray was not present on the device. Most likely the printer lost communication with a paper tray and rebooting the printer restored it. PCL5 will give a lot fewer errors (at the tradeoff of lesser image quality, some users won't notice or care).

Kill the keyboard, slower processor, reduce the price. Sounds more like marketing than R&D.

Re: Can You Close A Sale in 5 Questions?
QUESTION #5: Great! When could we begin? or Great! When is your next long copy run? The object of the fifth question is to pin the prospect down to a begining date or time or quantity to start doing business. In many cases you can sell a trial demo. Where big ticket products are involved (copiers) a puppy dog approach will work best (leave your product for the customer to use for a couple of days), or take the prospect to visit a satisfied customer and see your product in action and get a...

There may be secondary or follow-up questions pto gain a clear definition of what is important and why. QUESTION #4: IF I COULD DELIVER THE QUALITY THAT YOU DEMAND, SO THAT THE IMAGING IN YOUR...

The work stations got SW called Desktop binder and a portion of it monitors SR for scans. Almost the same setup as the present system.

Appreciate the comments. However, your arguments regarding A4 vs. A3 pertain to what’s good for you. Industries which are going through disruption or when an industry’s particular product or its services become less valuable to those once dependent on them. The disease of Product-Centric thinking will infect those with a stubbornness to modify. It is not up to those who sell a product or service to determine its value. Its value is determined by those who buy the product or service.
