Re: JOINT STATEMENT BY SHARP ELECTRONICS CORPORATION AND EDWARD MCLAUGHLIN
I dunno, I can see much room for Sharp anymore. Growth areas are Print Production, very low end and MPS. Right now I don't see them as a player in any of these markets. They don't have wide format, duplicators (not that these have been big sellers lately), scanners. I was just on the sharp web site and what do they have three models of laser printers, maybe four tops! The claim to fame is A4 right now and the slick GUI. The industry is changing once again, thus we could see additional...

The Power of Pull Marketing
Note from Art: I'd like to introduce Nathan Dube to every one. I contacted Nathan a few weeks ago and asked him if he could write a few blogs in reference to "pull marketing" and the power of adding video to your web site and You Tube. Video is the go to choice for clients that are searching for a product or a service. It's even more popular than blogs. I sure Ray S can attest to that. Please feel free to leave a comment. This Week in the Copier in Industry, Third Week of November 2003
My sales month ended today, thus allowing time for our beloved bean counters the chance to close the month on the calendar end of month. don't mind and I'm kind of use to it. I figure that closing the month early gives me two end of the month chances to close some orders. Of course one is our actual close and the other is calendar end of month. December this year is a little frightening since Christmas falls on a Tuesday. Which means most will not be working on the 24th. Thus December only...

Re: Please help with Vintage Copier article!
Hi Art, I have been selling copiers since the 70's. I started with Royal Bond units which were the size of a chest freezer and you could royal the dial up to 20 copies at 10 cpm. We took on a Camera Companies systems with their liquid units. (Canon). Canon introduced the Selex line as a bid machine category. They were basically just stripped down Canon units. Mita's big claim to fame was that they only made copiers so they were the experts. No company money going into R&D for camera's...

I have a lot of experience with Sharp. That info is never realistic most manufactures that list that info are not even close in real life. Maybe we can help formulate a strategy with you. This is the newer generation Sharp units. The 4111 is THE newest. The 2310U is the entry level color A3 unit....notice the "U" it is the...

Mu understanding is that the IS100e will work with any printer that has a parallel printing capability. The claim to fame of the IS100e is that it connects to the parallel port of the CL 3000 and CL 5000, well it should work with the 3800, 3850, 7000 and all of the others. The IS 100e is not OEM'd by Ricoh, I have seen it distributed by IBM, OKI and Panasonic. I'm not sure who the real OEM is. Art
