People always like getting free stuff. Two promo ideas 1). Offer 1-5 free color banner prints to your clients and prospects.. Many copiers can now print banners up to 12"W by 48" L . This feature is often not promoted. It costs you almost nothing but the customer might perceive as having value. It could be "Open for Business", "Happy Birthday," "Grand Re-Opening", whatever. The customer can dictate the content. You can add a little logo in the corner of the banner "supplied by ABC Copier...

My thoughts on a Senior VP's request to join: a.) It illustrates the level of legitimacy this site has attained. b.) This site originated largely due to the fact that our concerns were being censored. What we (at least I) wanted was valid and accurate discourse. Maybe the possibility of reaching that goal is hampered somewhat by the lack of senior management participation. Wouldn't the ultimate be to have open dialog from all sides? c.) I wouldn't hold his/her desire to remain anonomous...

JasonR, you are on a roll. We could then mix the "bad" leases in a little at a time with pools of "good" leases, buy insurance on them, and sell those. We'd try not to think about the fact that those would be further mixed with more "bad" and "good" leases... To make this REALLY roll though, we'd need Congress to step up. Follow the pattern of the 90s, and punish any leasing company that insists on only writing leases with customers who can repay. Block the merges of those leasing companies,...

Re: Industrial Label Printers

Yes, I am getting the same feeling about this low margin business. I am hoping if it help gain access to a new account, it could open the doors to quoting on the customers copiers. Also, it could be useful as a "Wrap Around" sales tactic against National copier Vendors. By this, I mean it is probably difficult for Xerox or Ikon to bundle them into their quotes. I can easily add the additional cost of one into a copier quote and give it away as "free". As the labels themselves can be bought...

Yes, I agree, we only picked up the Sammies for monochrome no color, we've stuck with Ricoh for that. I just hoping Ricoh doesn't screw it up with higher cpp than the A3 color machines.....something is telling me that the A4 color will be higher, however I hope I'm wrong. If A4 color price is higher than A3 color, that leaves the door open for someone to develop a color A4 with A3 cpp pricing.
