Re: Ricoh MP 305SP & MP 305SPF "Coming to America"
Hi Art, In Europe we had a little advantage as it is already available there. A PaperClamp is developed and available for these machines: http://solutionconfigurator.vz.nl/#b/37/m/707/p/264 Martin

Re: Ricoh MP 305SP & MP 305SPF "Coming to America"
We got the pre launch info yesterday, brochures haven't been posted to dealersource yet. From the launch letter it appears that print/copy is only through the bypass for 11 x 17. This is a great device for that customer who only needs A3 infrequently but now doesn't need an A3 machine.

Yup, you are correct with the 11x17 print & copy through the by-pass, but don't think that will be a deal breaker for most clients. Ty for the comment!

It won't be for the low volume customer who doesn't need a full A3 system like the MP 3054. I haven't compared this with the 2501 yet, it has it's own limitations.

Re: Ricoh MP 305SP & MP 305SPF "Coming to America"
perfect system for AEC market, that needs low volume 3-6K per month with the need to print & scan occasional 11x17, and also has a space issue.

Re: New Exit Tray for Ricoh MP W6700_MP W7100 & MP W8100
Just a heads up on that tray.......if the customer bumps into the tray there is a very good chance that the metal tray will fall on your customer's feet. I had it happen to me. To see what I mean mount the tray on your 6700 and push the tray forward in the center......the two hooks will disengage and the tray will come crashing down. I came up with a very simple modification to this tray that will eliminate the possibility of this ever happening. The addition of a couple of self adhesive...

New Ricoh W6700SP Wide Format Review
It's been more than five years since Ricoh has updated the Ricoh W3601 wide format printer/scanner/copier. I wasn't sure exactly how long, but googled it and found the press release for the MP 3601 that was dated March 10th, 2011. Far too long for me, but at least there is something new and different to offer our W3601 clients an upgrade path. Ricoh's wide digital wide format entry started with the MP W240 (4ppm), then the MP W2400 (4PPM), later came the MP W3600 (6ppm), and the last one of...

New Ricoh MP W6700
Ok, just had a chance to review the brochure, it's on the Ricoh USA web site as of today. Couple of items I'm not a happy with. Dual Roll is a standard feature! No doubt, the MSRP be higher compared to the likes of OCE and KIP since they offer single roll devices. In the pas if someone asked me the percentage of single roll and dual roll that I sold, it would have to be 70% single and 30% dual. Mind you we still have to wait on the pricing, but I'm not expecting a reduction for two rolls vs...

Ricoh MP 305SP & MP 305SPF "Coming to America"
A few months ago, I was able to view the Ricoh MP 305SPF video on youtube. I completely mis-understood how valuable this system will be for our clients, especially those clients in the AEC (Architects, Engineers & Construction)industry! For years, I wanted an MFP that would allow us to scan, print & fax 11x17, but only print letter and legal size. I thought that this would be an excellent seller because of the small foot print since it would be an A4 (prints letter & legal...

Print Drivers for MP W6700
Seems Ricoh does not have the driver page for the MP W6700 ready yet. Does anyone know or have a link as to where I can download those print drivers?

New Exit Tray for Ricoh MP W6700_MP W7100 & MP W8100
It's here! A high quality, easy to install exit tray for the Ricoh wide format devices that will allow stacking of "E" size prints/copies to the front of the device. In addition, it's less than half the cost of the Ricoh OEM stacker tray. I was able to install one of these prototypes on a clients device, took me less than 15 minutes to install!!! Ten Things You Need To Know Before you Lease or Buy a New Ricoh MP W6700SP
Ten Things You Need To Know Before you Lease or Buy a New Ricoh MP C3004 & MP C3504 was a blog I wrote about a week ago. It was such a hit that I thought I would blog about my findings for the new Ricoh MP 6700SP wide format print/copier/scanner. Since these systems arrived about a month ago, I've been able to place three of the MP W6700SP's in the field. When thinking about the MP W6700SP, there are two words that come to mind, reliability and performance. When the Ricoh W6700SP is...

Comparing the Ricoh MP W6700 vs the KIP 7172 Large Format Printers
There’s quite a bit to think about when comparing large format printers. I’ll let you know up front that I resell Ricoh large format printers. Yes, I’m a little biased when it comes to value and reliability. However when it comes to features and specs, well they are what they are. Thus, I’d like to share 5 features that make the Ricoh MP W6700 large format printer the device to acquire. Compact Design In most cases when clients are considering a large format printer, the space on where to...

Re: New Ricoh MP W6700
Just looked at the pricing for the first time and was pleased to find that cost is significantly less than the old model even if the old model was a single roll configuration. The real downside is the size of the machine. I've also never been a big fan of how the older versions of this design handled the output.....either out the back or falling on the floor out the front. The best way to deal with output on these machines is with a Tamaran Stacker but then the customer needs way more space...

Re: New Ricoh MP W6700
I was somewhat delighted with the pricing also. I'm a big fan of the front exit tray for "D" size, not so big a fan for the rear "E" size. Years ago, one P4P member had made a front delivery tray that accepted "D" & "E". It was awesome, not sure what happened to that member or his product, but now maybe a good time offer that exit tray again.

Re: New Ricoh MP W6700
The funny thing about how they positioned this new model is it is less than half the dealer cost of the MP W7100 which is essentially the same machine. The new model is a defeatured and slowed down 7100 without an upgrade path to add extra paper sources. See attached pictures for how output is handled.

So what would you quote for service on this machine? Someone is quoting $100.00 per quarter including 2000 Sq ft and toner included. Something does not sound right.

Still waiting on pricing here, however we were around $442 for 6K SQFT for an annual contract. Sounds pretty cheap to me also

There's a New Ricoh Wide Format Exit Tray in Town
Building on the global success of the Output Tray ROT-1 used for the Ricoh (Savin Lanier) MP W6700/W7140/8100 wide format MFPs. Copier Solution Shop is now offering the Output Tray ROT-1XL. Beta Testing I've been able to place two of these with existing clients for a beta testing. One client is a commercial building contractor who prints many "E" size drawings. After several months of testing the client is happy with performance of the exit tray because it allows them to stack up to 50 "E"...
