Re: Selling Professional Services for SMB Accounts, Worth it or Not Worth it!

SalesServiceGuy ·
As an independent dealer we are definitely giving away too much Pro Services in the SMB space. We kind of us it as a sales pitch against the National vendors who almost always charge Pro Services. Right now we are starting to give the customers invoice for many Pro Services that we deliver but offset it with a credit, so that they can see it's value. This will set up a future invoice where there will be no credit. We leave it up to the sales rep how he sells the workflow and how much...

interesting...on no commissions for pro-services. What have you seen for the price per hour of Pro-Services from the National Vendors (direct)? Thus what happens when you have almost no margins in a workflow solution? With me, there was only $200 from cost to MSRP with a workflow solution, are you then selling over MSRP?

Commissions Survey 2016 "How Are You Commissioned?"

This will be the first in a series of surveys to help all of us understand the different types of comp plans and how we might better position ourselves to maximize our commission.  Please take the time to cast your vote.  For right now leave bonuses out of the equation. ie; for me, I'm paid on GP, however when I hit my quota and above I get a percentage of that revenue.  Thus, I would select GP. 9 Tips to Keep Your Best Copier & IT Sales Producers

Art Post ·
I wrote this back in 2012 and thought this would be a good blog to re-post. I've also freshened it up in order to keep up with the changing conditions of our industry. Please feel free to reply with comments. 1. I had the unique experience of catching a dealer principal back in '98 with many un truths. It didn't take long for me to have no respect for the dealer principal nor the company. Within nine months I was outta there along with more than nine million dollars in revenue that I...

A few weeks ago Jack Carol send me a message on facebook and stated that I should get in contact with Rod "RJ" Nafziger. For all these years I knew him as the A rtisan Gelato Maestro of Venice! How did you find your way to the copier industry? I began my career in Cable Television out of...

Would You Be Interested in Making a $90K Commission for Selling One Imaging Device?

I'm raising my hand, can you see it! I'm interested! One of the main reasons that I'm still in sales is that I still have the desire to write my own pay check. Unexpected expense, no problem, just grind the gears a little harder and a little longer and you can make the cash that you need. I'm sure that's the same for many of my peers that are in the copier business. Twenty or so years ago, I had visions of grandeur that maybe just maybe one day I might be selling a really high end product...

Hi Art—new year happiness 2017. Your website guy, Jesse, called me from Colorado last week. I’m working on proposing it to Frank and Steve today or tomorrow. From Virginia your website came up over 10 down on my search—I imagine it’s different in New Jersey??? In taking a look at your website, I noticed this typo—wanted you to know—“and hiw we can help your company!” how we can help—this is on your products page. By the way, are you getting any viable leads from this yet? It would help my...
