Re: COVID19 "Remote Working" Day Eighteen of Sales

SalesServiceGuy ·
People always like getting free stuff. Two promo ideas 1). Offer 1-5 free color banner prints to your clients and prospects.. Many copiers can now print banners up to 12"W by 48" L . This feature is often not promoted. It costs you almost nothing but the customer might perceive as having value. It could be "Open for Business", "Happy Birthday," "Grand Re-Opening", whatever. The customer can dictate the content. You can add a little logo in the corner of the banner "supplied by ABC Copier...

Hey Art! I started using Aweber email software about 5 months ago. I send out a monthly newsletter with a customized template. People read it! Best part is that you always stay top of mind with your prospects. I actually exported my contact list from my CRM software and imported that into Aweber. Currently have about 100 prospects and customers in my email list. It's great! Much cheaper than a mailer.

Art, you're right. National Azon is a great asset to us as reps to hit the AEC vertical. In addition they also sell just stand alone large format scanners. I worked with them (but didn't win) on an opportunity at a state archive for scanning super old documents. The rep was super helpful and if it weren't for a prior relationship we would have won. Also, they offer a pretty robust media selection for wide format. We've got several customers we order media for from these guys. They have a...

Consistency... It's At The Core Of Every Sales Professional

Larry Levine ·
When it comes to sales performance, consistency separates the good from the great. How often have you observed a sales rep having a series of record quarters or a banner year, only to follow it up with spats of mediocrity and below average performance? Consistency, especially in the sales world is an enormous word. This differentiates the successful from the unsuccessful and the professionals from the reps. Consistency will change the course of your sales life! Consistency allows you to...

The picture in the header showed our demo room back in either 1989 or 1990, might have even been 1991. Sometime later Adler Royal was purchased by Mita and the Adler Royal brand was changed to Copystar. I thoroughly hated the name Copystar because there was no brand recognition, at least with Adler Royal, our clients knew about Royal typewriters. We...

Rules of thumb...sell nothing but the need for an appointment on a phone call or initial call. Also never "sell" during your fact-finding for several reasons: 1.) The fact-finding process gets interrupted or stopped. 2.) You come across like a dog salivating over fresh meat. 3.) You tip your hand and lose some of the thunder you will get from your proposal. 4.) You inspire additional questions and thought processes that the prospect will then discuss with competitors. read the rest in the...

Avoid Insulting the Customer Obvious, right? Well, people do it without even realizing by using comments like "did you understand that?" and "are you following what I'm saying?". This automatically shrinks the customers' intelligence and ability to catch on. It is down to your own ability to make the customer understand and therefore if you feel the customer is failing to do so, use comments such as "did I explain that clearly" and so on.
