I have to dial back the 1/2 price payments for one year. Most SMB business will only get lease approved for a six month Step lease. So for those customers wanting to preserve cash flow, a six month 1/2 price lease cost followed by a 60 month regular cost lease would be the best offer. On a $5k lease this would add approx $139.00 to the total finance costs spread over 66 months ($2.00 month).

Top three points I make when against Kyocera. #1. Take them color samples from your device and any Kyocera because the color output is sub par on all units. If you don’t have access to one look in your crm for an account you co-exist with Kyocera in. Or the next time you have a knock out make some samples and keep them in a binder. I'll chime in. Like TML I'm in my early 30's and have been selling copy hardware for nearly 10 years. I think good sales people as a whole are quickly becoming scarce. Millennials don't seem to like to interact with others if they don't have to and as most "print" decisions move to IT, online buying is already what they know. Overall it is a convenience factor, they don't have to submit a form to a website and wait a couple days for salesperson to try and up-sell them to an A3 MFP. They...

John, The PrintCopy Tool compares pretty favorably to Plotworks. I attached two documents to this post. The Product Support Guide lists differences between the two products. The PowerPoint has screen shots of all the settings in PrintCopy Tool. I hope this helps.

We are still a dealer but we have not sold a LEXMARK in quite a while. They eliminated the MPS Elite program we were own, or at the least removed us from that program. I never had anyone ask about the security due to the Chinese ownership but it’s a great point. Honestly, I have found their support, to us at least, to be very subpar. Our support from brother has been phenomenal the last 2 years. Most of my printer clients are replacing the lexmarks with the brothers as fast as they can.

Hi, we sell Toshiba in the UK. The current colour range can run with a two tiered counter already. We used to sell the Kyocera range with this feature it seemed to be good and won us business, but lost us money in service. When colour costs are dropping to 4p, the percentage of toner from the 4p is getting less. So to breaking this down into 3 tiers could seem marginal. But let say you could offer 1.5p for 2% coverage then 2.5p for 2-5% coverage and then 4p for above, you have now lost out...

We were talking with KIP but my father did not want to order 2 or 3 machines at one time for inventory like they wanted us to. I talked with Oce' and the guy was pretty much like talking to a wall and said he didn't need anymore dealers in his territory and pretty much hung up. I would like to have an alternative and not be at Ricoh's mercy. I have tried to upgrade 3406's with 3406's and it doesn't go over that well.

Call that KIP sales Rep again and make a deal with him. If you can get the deal with 2 KIP 9900s (those will replace the 4 Oce's), then you get to be a KIP dealer. He will also spend half as much in toner as those Oce machines just eat toner.

I, for one, don't care much what Ricoh thinks about my selling options. Tariffs also have a way of redirecting business decisions. China may sease to be a viable place for manufacturing. No manufacturer has 100% of their maunfacturing being done in China. No matter what, the effect of any tariffs will be watered down by whatever manufacturing that is being done elsewhere. Never ever stop prospecting is the key. Always adding and subtracting. I would say on average I keep about $100K of deals I think can close in 30 days. I focus on 180 because 2/3rd of them will either roll, or lose. 90% of the time, I will wait until the first contact to determine if that appointment is an opportunity. Once it's in the funnel, I then determine when it may have a chance to close. If's it's more than 50% it's going in the 30 day close funnel

This bill may not apply to Fair Market Value leases. There is no mention of establishing the residual value of the asset which makes the interest rate impossible to calculate. Is a .0278 rate on a 36 month FMV truly -0- interest? Of course not. If you don't end up with title to the equipment, you really haven't financed anything. What is the interest rate on a Hertz Car Rental? What is the difference between that an a 36 mth FMV other then the length of term?

So some clarification first. PaperCut absolutely does support Mac. In fact, it is the only cost recovery/print control solution that I know of that actually installs in an all Mac environment. (Server and Client) It also is the only solution I know of that installs in a Linux environment. So both of your issues are solved with PaperCut. I included the install guides for Mac and Linux to get you started.

With no debate, the US Senate unanimously passed a bill that would cut or eliminate tariffs on toasters, chemicals and roughly 1,660 other items made outside the United States. Nearly half of those items are produced in China, according to a Reuters analysis of government records. Yeah, most printers have a setting in their menus where you can tell it to always print 2 copies of anything they receive. It'll pull them both from the same tray though and probably wouldn't finish them.

Well, I figured out a temp work around. 1. Customer prints invoice to ecopy. 2. While in ecopy, customer makes a copy 3. Customer then slects print, (RPCS driver) 4. Customer selects customized RPCS print IKon we set up. 5. Customer hits ok. Two part form is printed from printer, canary is pulled from second tray, white is pulled from first tray and then stapled. These are work orders that service techs will take in the field with them. Problem is customer states he does not want to use ...

I think this is hilarious. When all else fails within your business model turn to being the low price leader. What ever happened to selling value. I thought business were in business to profit. I would be curious if they stole their current business model from RBS. Being the low price leader will get you somewhere for segment 1/2 but you sure are not going to be a very healthy & profitable company long term.

It's hard to place an accurate count on the number of trees we lose over a span of time because of the size of the number. Easier to track the loss of areas designated as forests since that highlights the biggest change, usually from nearly 100% of the surface area covered by trees to nearly 0%. they are typically user customized in the application. For example a law firm printing to an HP 4000, when they print a letter it's always in dup or triplicatel; right? So the program is set up when they select to print, a letter that they get: 1. a print on letterhead 2. a print on plain paper 3. a print on colored paper 4. an evnelope. I always run into this when replacing printers, because it never is configured to do the same thing, and i have like 30 legal secretaries wanting to kill...

They are using Timberline, a canned accounting package, so there's no functionality within the application to do this currently. You do have a really good question there though... what were they doing before?

First of all, we don't have this problem because the lease company we use (Clune Leasing) doesn't charge property tax. However, the potential pitfalls: 1.) Using a rate that was to include it and then having the lease company deny it later. That happened to us with Marlin Leasing. Make sure to get documentation ON EVERY DEAL done this way that all property tax is included. 2.) Property tax is a percentage of the funding amount. I had an appointment with a drug rehab medical center. I asked her how many users she had....oops. She said marijuana or cocaine? I still don't know if she was kidding or not. They didn't buy anything from me. They renewed their lease and paid on the used machine for 2 more years that I know of. And thought it was a very good decision. Perhaps they were users. Thanks Montecore, That makes sense from a business standpoint. I'm still having a hard time with the math though. If you are trying to figure out the effective purchase price, but only know the monthly lease payment, # months, and lease rate - do you have any ways to figure out the purchase price? 0.0302 percent of $6,200 is $198 so that only adds up to $6,339. But if you subtract $6,537 by $6,339 then you get $198 again. Suggesting that the purchase price is roughly 2 times the total lease...

You're getting good answers, but sometimes the third of fourth approach to answering the question helps. Not to imply that the previous answers are incorrect or incomplete. 1. "Lease Rate" is a convenience, given to you so that you can multiply your selling price by a number and end up with a payment acceptable to the lessor. 2.
