About to hit 17 years in the industry now so seen a few.. Sold a scanner to a strip club, I was new to the industry and just a teenager at the time - made the mistake of asking what they wanted to scan Had a "serviced" copier in a massage parlour (inherited the install base so I cant take credit for this) Sold/installed copiers/MFD's to both of the last two Prime Ministers offices/houses Installed a fax machine INSIDE a jail, there was a very dusty gap and some cables on the desk so I asked...

At one time I would have said this series was the best built tabletop on the market. Three incarnations later this design is way past its prime. We need a completely new tabletop with speed and a touch screen. Ricoh is blowing it on A4. They took a hard line stance against A4 machines a few years back and now its biting them in the bottom. Ricoh is our main line but we are selling another manufacturers A4 probably 3 to 1 because Ricoh's product has fallen behind.

To me A4 is prime for school market. Hook up with a venfor that can provide A4 machines. 3. The big boys give away the CPC the first year and then raise every year thereafter. Along with having clauses in the contract about toner usage, the more toner you use the higher your cpc will go. 4. Support the schools whether through...

After Ricoh bought IKON, with the intent of strengthening Market Share and distribution by becoming a 'direct' operation, ComDoc knew that Ricoh would never buy them. Moreover, as the ComDoc employee / owner stated above, they were no longer getting the same support from Ricoh after they bought IKON. ComDoc was then prime for purchase by Global and Ricoh loses probably close to $50M in revenue. I would think Ricoh must now focus even more attention on the IKON acquisition to make it somewhat...

Bandit is right on this. I was getting misfeeds like crazy at a demo. So on a 2 roll machine, I changed the 36" to a 24" roll and it ran through. Sure enough, the "dental floss" sized piece of paper came out on top of the print. Also, if you are getting misfeeds. Look for loose wires in the roll engine. We transport our demo models around and the jostling caused the wires to come loose. Be careful with the wheels on the 240w too...not very durable (and in their defense, they aren't meant to...
