Re: 57 Days of Selling "Day 44"

Jason H ·
Love it Art! I had a day of running around with a networking luncheon followed by a training for a new device that I sold earlier in the month and stole from Sharp. I was extremely late to the party with this deal but they already had a canon that was very old and decided they wanted another canon and on top of that wanted someone to deal with local over Sharp and Ricoh direct. Then I was walking into the grocery store on the way home and got a call from a person I quoted a machine to about...

Although I am 60% on board with your move to A4 strategy, most of the rest of the stuff you are posting is "knocking it out of the park"! I would like to see a poll. As a business owner, during COVID-19 would you prefer? 1). No lease payments for 90 days 2). 1/2 price lease payments for one year The auto industry is pushing no payments for 90 days but I think business owners are more concerned about cash flow for the next year. I think the correct strategy is to offer as part of your...

Personally, I have not been successful in selling Auto Store so I'm probably not much help. However, I would ask why it would be necessary to bundle these things. If I was fortunate enough to be in a situation where the customer sees the value of the software and this criteria is necessary, I would propose a basic workflow and 3rd party DMS integration and Sharepoint integration would be professional services at a billable rate or discounted block of time.

Imagine a CMYK copier, except remove the CMY toner and developer and insert a new Erasable Blue (EB) toner and developer. Modify the copier so that when the Erasable blue toner passes back through the heat of the fuser, it de-colorizes the blue to white. A new rules based print driver can automatically makes software apps like emails auto print in blue plus provide a new counter to show how much paper, CO2 and money you saved. So some clarification first. PaperCut absolutely does support Mac. In fact, it is the only cost recovery/print control solution that I know of that actually installs in an all Mac environment. (Server and Client) It also is the only solution I know of that installs in a Linux environment. So both of your issues are solved with PaperCut. when you load the bypass tray it will auto recognize the paper in a pop-up menu, and if you look closely there is a section near the bottom where it shows what a media is defaulted and a button that says “change “. This is where you would program in the media wait. I believe it would be heavy six, if you hit the details button on that screen you will see it by GSM The varnish would be questionable. Ford would LOVE to go with this model. Unfortunately, state franchise laws make it virtually impossible for auto manufacturers to eliminate dealers. That's why the domestics have two to three times as many dealers as they need, compared to the imports. This leads to lower average selling prices, lower dealership value, and a need to gather margin elsewhere. Such as muffler wax and windshield wiper protection plans. All in all, worsening the car buying experience. Some links...

I think we're talking about the same thing in different terms to a certain extent just using different examples. Do the newer printers/MFP's still print black using all colors if "Color" is selected in the driver? If so, then you're right that they would spend the same regardless of the type of contract. If only the black cartridge is used to print black even if "Color" is selected in the driver, then they would spend far more on a toner-inclusive agreement than if they were not under...

A lot of confusion around this topic. The leasing companies have a beat-down coming if they continue to falsely promote their FMV promo rates as "0% leases". Example, a recent manufacturer promo offered "0% FMV Lease!" for 36 months. But the lease rate for a 36 month deal was .027777. On a $10,000 machine, the payment was $277.77. The sum of 36 payments, $9,999.72 ($10,000). Problem? The machine still belongs to the lessor. Assuming that the residual value was 15% ($1,500), plug the...

0% Interest financing is a popular financing tool across the board - you see it in the auto industry, furniture, IT (such as your apple example). It has never been a big seller in the Office Equipment industry business due to the business model that the dealers/manufacturers sell with. Many dealers are selling FMV leases (we like the upgrades)and not highlighting to the customer the actual cash purchase price of the equipment. 0% works best when a customer see's a purchase price (let's say...

The C751 actually WILL do second-side registration, because unlike non-production machines (even those Ricoh has called production in the past), it has a separate registration unit to make sure the paper registers. Yes, but the auto dealers had great political clout in the 20's/30's when the industry was new. The manufacturers were distracted with growth and labor problems and failed to defend the consumers or themselves. The dealers were the "home team" in each market and were able to lock up the state legislatures, and (permanently?) keep the extra layer of markup in the business, preventing it from logically rationalizing to a direct model. MFP market is not even an rounding error by comparison, the...

It is still listed as current on the Ricoh USA and Ricoh Canada websites. Are they just trying to quietly clear them out? The question is can the Ricoh general line print in auto colour? I know they can copy in colour.

The printer automaticly callibrates everytime it is turned on and from time to time during operation. If you auto callibration off, it will only callibrate when it is power cycled. Re: Band With Auto-Negotiaion

It sounds like you are refering to having a 10mb or 100mb network. All of the ricoh network devices I'm familiar with use Auto-detect to determine the speed of the network but then they set that value and do not detect again. So when the printer is turned on it looks at the network and detects 10mb speed, and sets the card to 10mb. If the network chances to 100mb the printer does not detect this until it is turned off and on again.
