Very curious if this will fly, I'm concerned over how long it took to launch and if there were issues of some sort. We are a Kyocera dealer so we will be hearing more about it soon.

The vacuum lct looks like the Ricoh LCT. Any chance Ricoh will rebrand this like Kyocera did to the 8200 series?

Yup, agreed I heard from Kyocera peeps that many of the accessories are the same as the Ricoh accessories. I'd love to see the print quality on this printer. Kyocera send me some print samples!

Re: Leasing Company Changes and Funding Disruption
We only use Great America but i have not seen any disruption. All seems normal with them other than the little caveat that the business must be open and operational at the time of funding. I haven’t seen credit tighten up from them or feel they are any more strict than usual.

Re: Leasing Company Changes and Funding Disruption
I've seen the same with Great America also, they were always a little bit tight on credit anyway thus nothing has changed with them. That's a good thing

Re: Need HELP! Kyocera Color A3 question
Top three points I make when against Kyocera. #1. Take them color samples from your device and any Kyocera because the color output is sub par on all units. If you don’t have access to one look in your crm for an account you co-exist with Kyocera in. Or the next time you have a knock out make some samples and keep them in a binder. If color quality is important to the customer it will be a win. Another point is showing them you get what you pay for, meaning 3 tier color is what they have...

Copystar/Kyocera 7052ci and 8052ci are still current models as the 7353ci and 8353ci were just released. same goes the the 70/80ppm mono's. not sure when they will get discontinued but we can still order them as of today.

Re: Quality Digital Office Technology
Art, we've got a rep that covers York / Gettysburg and he confirmed this. He said he heard it went down ~ 6 months ago and they started reaching out to clients towards the end of 2019 to let them know. Gonna be a big change as Quality had a lot of loyal clients (also were giving away service at rates like .003 & .032- > I've gotta imagine that'll change quickly)

Looking for feedback on this. Has anyone sold these are had a chance to put hands on it and get an opinion. What type of service rates would you charge for toner inclusive service agreement on this?

Re: Kyocera finally put's out a low volume A4 Color
Yes I have sold a couple of these. For the price these are fantastic. My service manager is impressed which is hard to do. Dual side scanning is a definite selling point. The cost per page is going to be higher of course. I would say in the .015 black and white and .11 color to be safe (depending on your market of course). Not as good as say the 6535 per say but the machine is less than half the cost. If the run more than a couple thousand a month I would move them up to the 6535cidn. Let me...

Re: Personal Property Tax
wyzguynyuk: We use GE and Great America. The problem with GE is that sometimes they would go back to the customer and say they under estimated and have to collect the difference, thereby defeating the purpose of including it. Great America's rates are higher, but there are no surprises. We've decided to include personal property tax in all leases for tax exempt customers. It is at this time at the sales persons discretion to include it on taxable customers. Sometimes the $1 buy-out is...

Here's what I heard. 1. Ricoh is not supporting the ratio controllers anymore, due to the fact that they find that thier embedded controller will meet the needs of the AEC market or something close to that effect (I really had to laugh when I heard that) 2. Ratio America which advertises on the P4P forums is selling and support the ratio controller (http://plotbasepm.com/rip_cube) with the rip cube. 3. Let me further clarify my post. My understanding is this, Ratio Germany has filed for bankruptcy and no longer doing business. Ratio America is now its own entity and doing business seperately. They drive the Plotbase PM website and are selling Plotbase/Rip Cube etc. There is legal discussions that will allow Ratio to work with Ricoh. I think Ricoh recognizes the embedded is not sufficient but is tied legal on their actions. Also, Ricoh is still provide tech support for the controllers that...

Re: Lease Approvals
I thought we had a thread similar to this and maybe even a poll. I would say that 90% of my deals are getting approved by the likes of GE, DLL, Great America, etc, however I am pre-screening customers now and not even taking apps from some, due to thier industry and or financial status. Some have bought and others have tried elsewhere, thus the reason my approval rate is high is because of the pre-screening and I believe would be far lower than 90%.

Word on 'The Street' says that Global Imaging Systems, owned by XEROX, has hired Mike Pietrunti. Mike knew to abandon ship at Kyocera MITA and has landed at a very sound company, with Global. He will be far better off than landing at Ricoh and helping them transition to a strictly Direct operation, or helping SHARP manage their MFP business into extinction. Both Global and Mike Pietrunti made a good move.
