The embedded Fiery is quite a bit cheaper, but comes very basic. I have had a few instances in which my customer had to buy the Impose package afterwards. The Fiery EX server includes Compose, Impose, and the Color Profiler Suite with the ES-2000 Spectrophotometer, a must have for all Print-for-Pay shops.

All depends on applications/volume/substrates/workflows....The 770 was replaced by the J75 which was replaced by the Versant 80 which has been replaced by the Versant 180 (base and performance models). A testament to the R and D put into these engines. 3 devices in a 4 year span. Always trying to build a better mousetrap I suppose.
