I'm from Texas, and most people down here call all soft drinks "Coke", but when I get into this debate, my simple answer is none of the above, because I just call it whatever brand it is. I.E.--Dr. Pepper, Diet Coke, Sprite, etc.

Emie: Keep in mind the cost of 4 part carbonless is very high, the ribbon cost of the ribbon cost of the dot matrix is high, noise of the printer, plus dot matrix printers always need to have print heads replaced. Someone would then need to seperate the invoices and tear off the sides. Dr. PCL5 maybe able to help

At the moment they're filing in file cabinets. We've started the conversation about Document management software but they're not at the commitment level yet. The client only has one location. Thanks Dr. PCL5 I'll look into FormJet enterprise.

Re: MP 4002SP Blank page detection not working
Yea really, the only good it would do I guess is if you put the originals in face down and instead of accidently having a blank file when you go to look at it you are warned ahead of time. They do have a Canon DR-5020 scanner that after the file is scanned it goes back and deletes all the blank sides. It takes a while of course. So yes, it would almost have to be a third party software solution that would go into a PDF and delete the blanks. I will look and see if Nuance has a solution or if...

Internet fax can only send to another T.37 Internet fax capable machine or to an email address. If the Pharmacy has a standed fax then the only way to send a fax to it is via the PSTN. How does you Dr. office expect to recieve faxes if they are not connected to the phone line?

If Scan 2 Document mall is not an option, or scanning via FTP, is not an option as well. (All good recommendations!) I agree with dr print. I always ask who my competition is and I know them well enough now to ask which rep it is. I've found lately with one company the owner has been traveling on appointments with a new rep. I've been using this to our advantage as the owner of that company is quiet an aged fellow that knows little about our industry anymore. Find out who your competition is and if that company is listed, ask how they came about selecting them (since you mentioned the incumbent is out).
