Re: Inbound Marketing For Sales Reps (and Sales Vets)

Hey Greg, Absolutely. My only rebuttal is that the word content is so subjective. Do you write lengthy, 1000+ word articles, or do you focus on writing shorter articles you can post 2-3 times per day? For SEO purposes, either can boost your ranking in Google. The golden rule of SEO is that Google rewards good, original content. Black hat SEO will boost your rankings in the short term, but eventually Google's algorithms will catch on and punish your ranking. On the flip side of content,...

Not on their network, or from my laptop directly connected via crossover cable. Not with or without Smartnet Monitor. I temporarily gave the customer a work around by having them send docs to document server, then printing docs out with punch/staple functions they need. I had left the Air Force in 1989, and moved back to Kentucky. I worked for a river company for several years, started an Amway business and thought I would strike it rich. Amway took my money but never made me rich, so I became a waiter at a restaurant. I spilled too many drinks on the customers, so I was at a BBQ one day, and met a cousin who was one of the partners of Modern Business Systems, who had sold out to Alco Standard. Re: Samsung m4580fx, it can do what?

txeagle24 ·
It's a cool feature, but I'm trying to figure out what the application is for using such a feature. Why use a 5 or 6 inch smart phone screen to control it when you can use the 10 inch screen at the machine. If there is a simple device management app for administrators to use to manage the machines, I can see that being useful.

I have sold Canon, Sharp, Konica, Kyocera. If samsung is just now talking about a mobile app, they are way behind. Which they have been for sometime. Kyocera has the best mobile app hands down. It even works with off brand devices on the network. HP printers.....manage print services. See where I am going with this?

I'm not talking about Mobile Printing, we're talking about a true android tablet that is the user interface for the new MFP. Anything that you can do on your Andriod tablet or smartphone can be done at the copier, along with some additional apps that are very interesting. I'm learning more myself about this new system and the capabilities.

Re: RICOH BRINGS ‘CLOUD PRINT’ TO BUSINESS-CLASS MFPS

Ricoh would try to charge for this. In my opinion, this should be included as a firmware update that brings additional value to the client & potentially helps Ricoh and its dealers capture more prints from mobile devices. I do like the idea of Ricoh starting to offer additional features via firmware installation (chargeable or not). If they truly want to be a Services-led organization, we should be able to add features like this or OCR to products across the line. It's ridiculous that if...

Awesome point on the OCR. The MP4002 & MP5002 are long in the tooth and needs to be replaced ASAP!

Re: RICOH BRINGS ‘CLOUD PRINT’ TO BUSINESS-CLASS MFPS

They don't need to replaced. They are great boxes but need to be made current by making them compatible with new features like OCR & Smart Operations Panel. Update them using firmware. Imagine how much more money Ricoh could make if they only updated monochrome systems half as often (no need to manufacture a new design) but provided new features via firmware update & potential add-ons. Color is presently a different story since the quality keeps improving but not for long.

k, and the day will come soon, when only color systems are offered. I'm not holding my breath on Ricoh just updating the MP4002/5002. Yes, would be much easier for us and dealers to keep the same engine and just add additional features.

Re: RICOH BRINGS ‘CLOUD PRINT’ TO BUSINESS-CLASS MFPS

They won't just update it; I'm just stating my opinion. I predict the next version will feature a single-pass feeder and the additional features. The day may come when a manufacturer only offers color systems, but I hope Ricoh isn't the first one. Whoever that is will lose a lot for several years due to customer resistance unless there are multiple billing tiers in which low coverage is billed at the same rate as mono & higher coverage rates can be completely disabled to overcome...
