COVID19 "Remote Working" Day Thirty of Sales
Mondays, whether you hate or love them Mondays can sometimes define your week. Do you have a favorite Monday song? Mine is "I don't like Mondays " by the Boomtown Rats. Yes the eighties, yes I'm a boomer and yes the eighties was an incredible time to cut your teeth in the copier industry. I could write some stories that would rock your world because they surely did rock mine. Some of you reading this blog may have heard me tell you about the eighties and it's something I just may put in...

COVID19 "Remote Working" Day Thirty-Five of Sales
During the month of April we posted 66 blog and videos. Special thanx to Ray and Larry for their contributions. In my twenty years of hosting this site I've never seen this much inaction from the copier manufacturers. Just today I heard from an unnamed source (frak I always wanted to write that), that XBS former Global has axed up to 50% of their Market Place Presidents. A few days ago there was a another thread about lay-offs from Kyocera. Really? Does it really need to be this way? When...

Twelve Days of Selling "Day 2"
Mele Kalikimaka is the thing to say On a bright Hawaiian Christmas day! I heard this today while traveling to the office. I love this song and every time I hear it, I'm reminded of Clark & Ellen Griswold, and Cousin Eddie! Yesterday, yes it was Sunday saw me take about 4 hours to plan Monday and to send at least 25 emails to prospects. Believe it or not I had two replies on Sunday! Neither one was a sale, but the email served as a seed planted and some...

57 Days of Selling "Day 24"
Monday, the bane of my existence in sales. Makes wonder how many sales Mondays I've had in my sales career. Thirty six years with fifty two Mondays for each year would mean that I've survived 1,872 Mondays. That's a crap load of Mondays. To give me a better feel for Mondays I did a Bing search for all of those Monday songs. So far it's been, I Don't Like Mondays (Boomtown Rats), Manic Monday (Bangles), my those gals were awesome, Monday Morning (Fleetwood Mac), and for those of us old enough...

Re: COVID19 "Remote Working" Day Thirty of Sales
Ty @Kimberly trying to get it done! Our Governor is a real stinker. He lives about 5 miles from me in a huge mansion on the Shrewsbury River. On Saturday there was a car parade that drove past his house with horns, signs and they were all going 5 miles an hour. He still didn't get the message

We start back Friday. Governor supercedes our Dallas County judge who wanted until May 15th. Our office is in Dallas County though I live in one that has not been as restrictive. Power grabs and egos. The people are angry. Will be interesting to see how this plays out.

COVID19 Remote Working Day One Hundred and Fifty-Six of Selling
COVID19 Remote Working Day One Hundred and Fifty-Six of Selling Copiers Monday sometimes the best and worst day of the week. I'm in the camp of "I Don't Like Mondays", because I truly love my weekends and anytime off is a good time. However today was a Monday unlike many other Mondays and that's because I was sick as a dog last night. Not the COVID but more or less a 24 hour bug that was horrid. It was about 3AM on Monday went I finally drifted off. Yes, I woke up late and yes I had a...

What Comes Around Goes Around...
About a week ago I posted a thread in our forums about an appointment I had with a net new account here in New Jersey. I met with the client on Thursday or Friday of that week, went through the discovery process and got the feeling that this opportunity would have a decision sooner rather than later. The reason for that assumption is because the client just completed building out a new space and the supply chain issues our entire industry is experiencing. It's interesting how no one bats an...
