New Jersey HVAC Company Selects Ricoh MP W6700SP over OCE PlotWave 450

Art Post ·
Just about a week ago I was able to visit a client with an existing KIP 3000 multifunctional wide format device with hopes of providing a new Ricoh MP W6700SP. Seems the KIP 3000 had received quite a workout over the years and was closing in the end of it's useful life. After spending about fifteen minutes with the device and the operator, I found that the KIP 3000 was purchased pre-owned, and the volume was about 3,000 square feet a month, in addition the KIP 3000 has a dual roll paper...

The Week in Copiers Ten Years Ago Second Week of February 2011 I had a great day today and it wasn't because I sold something. I had to visit and account to pick up original docs from a net new client. Five other vendors were in on the offering, I did not give away margin. I asked "why did you choose Stratix as your vendor", our new account stated "You were the only sales person that listened to my needs and gave us what we needed." Ah yes it was a great day to me! This Week in the Copier Industry Five Years Ago Last Week of December 2016 Two days left for the month, the year and the quarter. I received one of my last orders a few minutes ago for a wide format MFP and I have another verbal promised for late today for $14K A3 color MFP. That $14K puts me at 130% for the year and not a bad way to end, for some reason I think the last one will take multiple emails or a visit to bring it home. There's also one other opportunity out there for a $40K net...

This Week in the Copier Industry 5 Years Ago Second Week of June 2017 When one can't get copiers to sell then what does one do? Me, I've made the switch to changing the talk track to from speeds and feeds to content aka business intelligence. This Week in Copiers Five Years Ago First Week of March 2018 Real Copier Sales I was on a call this week and each week each of us our asked about our wins for the week (personal or business). It's not been a good week for be and I wasn't able to think of a "win", however I did have a win. My win for the week was that I lost $60K in opportunities for March, however I followed that up with the point that you can't win without losing. My win is that these loses will get me closer to my next...

This Week in Copiers Five Years Ago Third Week of March 2018 Real Copier Sales Differentiating the price buyer from the value buyer was a conversation I had last week with one of our VIP/Premium Print4Pay Hotel members. I'll start with why I found this to be an important topic. If you follow or are connecting with many of the sales soothsayers on Linkedin most of them are missing the point when it comes to selling. Note I did not mention sales but "selling" which is the act of closing the...
