Re: Will outside Sales Rep's go away?

grizzlyadams ·
I'll chime in. Like TML I'm in my early 30's and have been selling copy hardware for nearly 10 years. I think good sales people as a whole are quickly becoming scarce. Millennials don't seem to like to interact with others if they don't have to and as most "print" decisions move to IT, online buying is already what they know. Overall it is a convenience factor, they don't have to submit a form to a website and wait a couple days for salesperson to try and up-sell them to an A3 MFP. They...

So some clarification first. PaperCut absolutely does support Mac. In fact, it is the only cost recovery/print control solution that I know of that actually installs in an all Mac environment. (Server and Client) It also is the only solution I know of that installs in a Linux environment. So both of your issues are solved with PaperCut. I included the install guides for Mac and Linux to get you started.

Well, I figured out a temp work around. 1. Customer prints invoice to ecopy. 2. While in ecopy, customer makes a copy 3. Customer then slects print, (RPCS driver) 4. Customer selects customized RPCS print IKon we set up. 5. Customer hits ok. Two part form is printed from printer, canary is pulled from second tray, white is pulled from first tray and then stapled. These are work orders that service techs will take in the field with them. Problem is customer states he does not want to use ...

So this effort is eliminate "carbon copied" work orders for service techs? What is wrong with the print "workflow" when the software application that generates a service form cannot be configured to print two of the same item? This is not an easy "printer-centric" fix. The application needs to either carry this information to the printer as part of the job or you must have some print-based software (Planet Press/Dataworks) telling the printer what to do. At this point, what other problems...

You're getting good answers, but sometimes the third of fourth approach to answering the question helps. Not to imply that the previous answers are incorrect or incomplete. 1. "Lease Rate" is a convenience, given to you so that you can multiply your selling price by a number and end up with a payment acceptable to the lessor. 2. The "Short answer" from your leasing company is "We'll do that deal for 36 months at 0.0302". 3. The "Long answer" which they will seldom give you is: - We believe...

I can agree that they leasing companies (and all lenders) acted foolishly in the past. Now the banks are acting like banks. That's not bad, though it may make it tougher to provide people with equipment you, I and they all know they have no business leasing. [If you were over 2 years in biz, 90% of the time no PG was required.] And now we know that two years in business is not adequate assurance of the company's ability to make the payments, so more assurance is required in the form of a PG.

Re: Padded Lease Rates

Old Glory ·
That explains things some. Our "pad" is 12%. That means your company keeps an extra 3% of the GP on every sale before commissions then gives that back in the form of higher commissions or bonuses. If the average commission is 30% than approximately 1% of the profit is "held back" in your case to reward superior performance. Nothing wrong with that...just another way to slice the pie.

No it means that we redistribute an extra 3% above the cost of goods to the people that are consistent high producers. Not the same as 3% of the sale price or GP. We dont keep any of it.

If they are sending to less than 2000 destinations, and don't require authentication. You're good to go out of the box. I'm told there is a way to create a csv? file form you e-mail address book and upload to the copier via smartnet monitor. If they require authentication or direct access to mailserver then you add Global Scan. Pete M.

The best bet if you can't delete it from windows is to do an F8 boot in to DOS and delete it that way, or you might try an F8 boot in to Safe Mode and try the same thing. Graham ps.... Question On the Di3510-2010 series, what advantages does scanning to the Hard Drive offer? Answer Scanning to the hard driver presents an alternative form of scanning for the end user. In many cases, users do not want to integrate scanning with their e-mail server. Scan to Hard Disk Drive eliminates the need to set up an e-mail server. Documents are scanned to a “mailbox” and then retrieved by the user when they are needed.

Toshiba offers the Encore Win 8.1 tablet in a 7" form factor at around $299.00. Unfortunately, a 7" form factor is a little small for Win 8.1 to easily navigate without the use of a stylus. I would wait until 10" Win 8.1 tablets begin to appear in the marketplace. Also, keep in mind that tablets from all vendors are really only devices designed for consuming information. They are not that great for creating information.
