John, The PrintCopy Tool compares pretty favorably to Plotworks. I attached two documents to this post. The Product Support Guide lists differences between the two products. The PowerPoint has screen shots of all the settings in PrintCopy Tool. I hope this helps.

Re: MPS and Linux HELP!

jdicarlo ·
So some clarification first. PaperCut absolutely does support Mac. In fact, it is the only cost recovery/print control solution that I know of that actually installs in an all Mac environment. (Server and Client) It also is the only solution I know of that installs in a Linux environment. So both of your issues are solved with PaperCut. I included the install guides for Mac and Linux to get you started.

Here is the text from the email we got: Dear Dealer Principal Effective January 1, 2012, Ricoh will implement a price increase. Ricoh, Savin and Lanier equipment and accessories will reflect a 5% increase from the current dealer pricing and SRP prices, excluding A4 laser printers and Gel printers which will have no change. All supplies and parts will reflect a 3% increase without exception. This increase is due to the ongoing appreciation of the Japanese Yen. We have been faced with cost...

Old Glory, Not sure how long the MF version has been in play. I've only been back in the industry since January and my new dealership already had some PaperCut installations when I arrived. The software does have the behavior modification pop-ups you are referring to, and I'm told specialized scripts can be easily written to force almost any behavior. For instance, during a WebEx last week my PaperCut account rep told my client of a PaperCut installation in which the user set up a rule that...

I work for Kyocera and have seen the articles that stimulated this discussion, and the rumors seem to be true. I just received a text message from one of my dealers who happens to be on our premier dealer trip to Europe, that stated "you won't believe this, Kyocera just bought Sharp"! We'll wait and see but we are becoming aggressive in the market as seen by our acquisition of Nevill in Carrollton Texas! Roll Kyocera Roll... we have great products, service and support!

Re: 2238 Color Toner Yields

copier_doc (Guest) ·
G'Day all. You will get your yield based on the figures given by Ricoh. However it is important to understand the issues with coverage. Also bear in mind that coverage to useage are not proportional. A square block of colour on a page 100x100=1000, if you double the size of the square you quadruple the coverage 200x200=4000. Also dependant upon what you're printing will make a difference. 5% of text and 5% of graphics are different due to image processing and laying of toner and charge.

Re: How do Original setting adjustments work?

copier_doc (Guest) ·
OK, if you make a black print during a colour run it is not processed black (ie black is not made up of CMY). This is actually the same for black text in a colour print; the text is black toner, the graphics are colour. To maintain speed during a colour run the transfer belt does not drop for a black print. This would slow the machine and cause other possible problems as the colour drums and devs stop and start for each colour or black print. Because the transfer belt doesn't drop and the...

I agree, without sales, service would be unemployed in 3 to 5 years. And yes, sales profit is at a minimum. However, if all MA the profit went the sales department where would service get its revenue from? The “billable dollars” would not be enough to support the salaries of the service employs. We’re robbing Peter, to pay Paul. Some sales people sale boxes for profit, and if the dollar amount (in the pocket) is not there, they walk away to minimize their wasted time. The tab sheet holder isn't a holder; it's a back stop. Therefore you can fill the tray to capacity with tab stock. The 1060 will not number the tab sheets. You need to do this by creating a document with text/ numbers in the tab position. Then program the machine with chapters so it will pull a tab sheet for every chapter start. (Don't forget to set the tab tray up, and give the dimensions of the tab). Same as 1060. Autumn is coming here in Au and it's cooling down!!!

No Photo exposure, no text photo, all I saw in the manual was three adjustments for Contrast and three adjustments for Exposure. Shaft Paper Roll! Hold onto to your back and clear a large space...
