US Communities is a nation-wide (US) contract that Ricoh bid and won exclusive rights to. Any entity that is government (non-Federal) or non-profit can become a member of this buying group and as a member qualify for discounted pricing on a multitude of products including those sold by Ricoh. In a nutshell, we have a lower cost of goods if someone qualifies for US Communities pricing.

Thanks for the info, it is greatly appreciated. It seems that HP is leading in this effort, and they appear to have levels of the product depending on the application. Ricoh seems to be doing an all or nothing approach, the same with Lexmark. Lexmark has a Global application that has a lot of neat features, the problem lies in the involvment of the local dealer. Lexmark wants to come in and do the analysis and launch of the product and is unwilling to even ball park a price on the solution.

I agree with you on some points that his goals are admirable in wanting to cut wasteful spending. That's about it. In the future if he is elected, and he cuts the nuclear arsenal, cuts defense spending, brings all of our troops back to the US from around the world (which numbers around 500,000), says that we no longer will protect our allies (which means that US bases around the world will have to be closed). Now when they sell to there own network they get the total profit. All revenue goes to them. Sure it may be a RBS dealer but when it is all said and done RBS profits go to Ricoh.
