RICOH PRO 907/1107/1357 PRODUCTION PRINTER FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS Q. Where do the new Pro Series Production Printers fit in the Ricoh high volume monochrome printer product line? A. The new Pro Series Production Printers are successors to the highly successful Digital Document Publisher models, the DDP70e and the DDP92. Those models were initially brought into the Ricoh product family through the acquisition of Hitachi. Technically, the 70-ppm Digital Document Publisher 70e is being...

May I put in a plug for my personal cause? As a volunteer at our county's animal shelter, I see first hand the good work this shelter does(as well as all the others around the country). There are so many wonderful, wonderful pets languishing in kennels that are simply awaiting a chance to have a home of their own with a loving family. People can be so incredibly cruel to animals. I can't begin to tell you how many of our "strays" were really dumped off on the side of the road by somebody who...

Hey, cool! I didn't even know, Art. Took a look at the Aficio League and there I was. It actually feels pretty nice, gush gush... Actually, I am still using an old Wilson bag that my father gave to me when I was 19. I think I'll keep the new bag. Here's the irony of the whole thing. One of my clients is Saucon Valley Country Club (rank in the top 100 of the country, beautiful course) and I have an open invite to golf, but I've been embarassed by the fact that I have really cheap gear. I have been monitoring the AF since Oct. 1. There have been 7 posts total, one of which was Mike's about the golf bag. That's pitiful seeing as how the month is half over. I bet there won't be more than 12 legitimate posts this month. I too stopped posting when Art did. That's because all of the 300+ edited posts that weekend were mine and Art's. Their code of conduct has killed the AF message board.

It's probably because the bottle full sensor is attached to it. Is the bottle cracked/broken? We just empty it into a small trash bag at PM.

First couple of slides identify you first (remember you're "the main pole of the big tent" and then your company (if single line dealer another slide for them) if you're dual line, all the better, stress your ability to provide "Best in Class" solutions. It was further noted that lawyer hunting was encouraged as the state is overrun with the pesky creatures. A local food critic said that, contrary to rumor,...

I've been reading the posts about this unit for the last few months and not said much, which usually is a smart thing for me to do! I guess the one thing that comes to my mind is do we need to be all things to all customers? Do we need to have in our bag something for everyone, even if it means taking on a product that isn't proven or that could perhaps come back to bite us in the butt? I am not sure if there is a right or wrong answer to these questions; I think it is a matter of what you...

And a great two cents it is! At our dealership we needed a way to combat direct branches selling at or around cost to incumbment accounts. None of our accounts would argue about $30-$0 more per month than the competition becuase our service is great. However when the cost difference is $100 per month less our quotes, we can not compete. We have not stopped selling Ricoh, however we are using the Sammy's to keep existing clients where the volume and the need is right. Some will love the unit...

Jason, I didn't see that dealer communication. Either way, the iR 25xx series wasn't the best one out there in my mind. We try to steer customers to the iR 42xx series or to the A4 BW units. We've had mixed bag results with these units. The good majority of them in the field have (knock on wood) been running well, just expensive. There have been a handful that have been troublesome, with one in particular being replaced in the field. But you're right, these units despite reputation have been...

Re: Epson launches $8000 colour printer

We are not a reseller for Epson at this time. We are merely testing the equipment and have been for some time. All they gave me is the "list price" for each bag of toner which is what I posted. I would assume CPC would be calculated the same way as a toner based machine. Based on my evaluation we would not be a reseller of the current machine and would wait until a page-wide array machine would come out to consider. The 24ppm is not accurate when printing high quality documents.

Here are more pics of the Epson MFP's. I think there is a niche for this but I am not sure we will go down this road or not. We are looking at their large format as everyone and their brother carries Canon Wide Format in our market now. The machine does have meters to write service contracts with it which is interesting to me for an ink machine.
