The obvious question is can it print to an iOS device? I get many more requests to print from an iPhone/iPad than an Android device x50.

There is a Samsung Mobile Printing app in the iTunes AppStore that would allow users to do this. Most manufacturers have their own apps for both iOS & Andriod at this point. It doesn't look like these new models are AirPrint compatible yet, but I'm sure Samsung is working on it with Apple since they have a number of previous models that do work with AirPrint.

In the end, we are talking about another copier vendor trying to make a splash with a new User Interface (UI) similar to what Sharp did two years ago. The fact that Samsung has attached one of their 10" Android tablets to the front of a copier is unique but the LCD size is not. There are many factors that go through a buyers head when they buy a copier. Generally, the UI is not at the top of the list.

I would absolutely disagree. Whether or not a machine is easy-to-use is a huge factor for most customers, at least ones that listen to input from their users and don't just go with whatever is the fastest & cheapest. I've sold a lot of Ricoh equipment to displace Xerox or Konica Minolta systems that customers thought was too hard to use. If a UI is flashy but difficult to navigate for users, it offers no redeeming value, but if it has sizzle, intuitive & makes user interaction...

I just spent the last 5 minutes playing around with a new Samsung MFP we ordered in with the Android UI. After being super excited for the past month to try this out... ...I hate it. For several reasons. 1) The operating system lags from screen to screen 2) There's absolutely no hard buttons and I have fat fingers. 3) Everything is spread out. 4) There are useless apps, like Calculator and a Movie app, and not enough printing apps 5) The Box app (similar to Document Server or Mailbox)...

I will be trying this system out again this week as our Rep is bringing one by for my sales reps to use and play with for the day. I didn't use it too much at the Samsung dealer meeting so I can't say one way or the other if I like it. Will update more on Thursday.

I meant to type this up last week but we spent some time with the machine on Thursday. I do think it is a neat touch but not sure if I like it just yet. I am going to go off some of the points Czech made. I did not find the op system had lag to it for starters. When we switched from screen to screen it worked just like my Ipad and my Galaxy tablet. I think they could have had more printing apps and less useless apps. I don't know why in the world someone would use the internet on the copier,...
