Re: Ricoh Adds New Color Envelope Printer

Art, When you get the chance take a look at the iQueue software that comes with this system. It is a very complete package which includes the ability to automatically recognize Spot colors, and allows you to manipulate them. This software will output to just about any device you can load a print driver for. I tested it on a Fiery driven device with excellent results.

The Week in Copiers Ten Years Ago

Art Post ·
The Week in Copiers Ten Years Ago Last Week of May 2011 Tomorrow is the last day of the month for me in May. I have one small order to book, however that still leaves me $7K short of my monthly quota. I still have two $60K opps out there however one has been in the weeds for three weeks and the other opp is in the weeds for a week. Both will get calls and emails, and after 41 years of doing this I still can't fathom why and existing client or net new won't give you the courtesy of an email...

This Week in the Copier Industry 15 Years Ago Last Week of November 2007 sponsored by I had the opportunity to work a conference in New Jersey over the last couple of days in Atlantic City. I had the opportunity to work the show with someone new and it's always a pleasure to work with someone that knows about to work an event. I was floored by the way our rep engaged and greeted all those that came within a few feet of our space. It was a pleasure to watch that person work and get peeps to...

MFP Wars "The Final Five"

Art Post ·
re-post with corrections from 2009 How many players do we have now? Let's see: Ricoh, Xerox, Canon, KonicaMinolta, OCE, Sharp, Kyocera, Toshiba, Muratec, and Panasonic. Many moons ago, I made a few predictions regarding what I thought would happen with Ricoh Americas. To sum it up, my thoughts were that Ricoh would take all non-performing dealers and ask them to become Lanier or Savin, while keeping the top Ricoh Dealer performers. It made sense to me that the Direct Channel would then have...

Toshiba Tec is potentially going to seek an independent path from Toshiba Corp. while entering a joint manufacturing partnership with Ricoh to produce new MFPs with the same print engine a few years from now. I would maybe put Lexmark on the chopping block as it seems happy to relabel it's A4 product to Xerox, Sharp and Toshiba and somehow tries to distance itself from it's 60% owner NineStar.
