Hardware/Service Sales Compensation Poll! Vote here!

Art Post ·
“Traditionally, our industry’s model has stated that sales reps should receive compensation equal to 10-14% of the hardware revenue produced during that year. As an example, $1,000,000 in hardware sales should equal $100k-$140k in total compensation. I’m curious since dealers are pushing services more and more how that has effected that model since services transactions may not result in hardware sales. Miscellaneous Itemized Deductions

Deanw ·
Our outside sales people receive a flat auto allowance each month regardless of how many miles they drive. I was aware of entertainment expenses, but was not aware of mileage and meals. I will need to check with my accountant. I found this: https://www.forbes.com/sites/k...it-use/#57f0780d7631 really didn't help that much. My accountant is swamped right now. I'm somewhat concerned since I drive 25K plus every year. Hoping OLD Glory has got it right.

He had better be habitually over 120% of plan if he's going to make a statement like that.
