RICOH PRO 907/1107/1357 PRODUCTION PRINTER FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS Q. Where do the new Pro Series Production Printers fit in the Ricoh high volume monochrome printer product line? A. The new Pro Series Production Printers are successors to the highly successful Digital Document Publisher models, the DDP70e and the DDP92. Those models were initially brought into the Ricoh product family through the acquisition of Hitachi. Technically, the 70-ppm Digital Document Publisher 70e is being...

These are all very interesting comments. Not sure if anyone has seen the videos and new interface on the color systems. Watch those videos on youtube and see yes that is a cool interface but is it really practical? From talking with others this is a very confusing non-friendly user interface compared to the previous MX color series. I think this is going to hurt this color series in the long run. The real challenge comes when there are MX units in an account then add this Aries series. Or...

don't do it. At least we have had terrible luck. i have found that the system needs the stapled sheets in order to stabilize the folding. if you don't staple two + sheets, try to fold just one, it will be very inconsistent. Good Luck Randy

Re: Canon IR105 'Z' Folder

And it is an additional option for the Saddle Stitch Finisher (That finisher has a $10,500 List and the folder has a $5700 list). Compare that to a $5200 list on our SR860 and if you want to get really carried away the list on the SR85 Booklet Maker is only $9750 and will be available for the 2090,2105 soon. (Though I don't think it can "Z" fold. Another consideration is that you can buy a folding unit that will do ALL of your folding off line for less than $3000.00. That's my 2 cents worth!

I didn't check the spec's, but from what I have experienced it does not slow down the speed of the copier. But I have had some customers complain that it cannot Z fold to the edge on the last fold. Canon designed it to leave a 6mm gap for some reason and it cannot be adjusted to compensate. Most companies that have interest in using the Z fold to insert ledger documents into letter spec books are used to have a "clean" edge fold. Also, the Z fold is only an option if used in conjunction with...

this saddle stitch finisher is not designed to fold one sheet of paper.mainly because it will not staple one sheet of paper.it uses the staples to align the paper for proper folding.so though we can get one sheet to fold,it will not fold straight or consistent.

Question On the Di3510-2010 series, is it possible to select crease fold without selecting 2-point staple when using the SK-1 Saddle Kit? Answer Yes, it is possible to crease fold a document without selecting 2-point staple. The output will be a creased document with no stapling. This is possible with one sheet of paper (4-page booklet).

Re: C MP4500spf

Since you're getting folded output, I assume you have the correct finisher, but just for the record, the booklet finisher is the SR3020 for the MP C4500 SPF. If you choose 2 center staples in the driver and the output is on a single sheet, you will get folded, but unstapled documents. This is the only way to get folded without stapling. It should be impossible to get multiple pages to fold without stapling.

Carrier sheets are like huge file folders made out of a thin but durable plastic. The drawing is inserted into the carrier sheet up to the point where the fold is. Without service, you are more apt to be dissatisfied with your product and unless cycled regularly by your sales rep will become orphaned and be lost to the competition when you are ready to upgrade. Capabilities: Clarification on paper sizes that can be folded & stapled with the new booklet finisher. The Booklet Finisher can fold & staple 8.5 x 11 and 11 x 17 paper for all copy and print jobs. 8.5 x 14 CANNOT be folded & stapled. The Booklet Finisher will fold (not staple) only 1 sheet of paper. I had this problem on my very 1st SMB setup. Jayson G helped me figure this out. The folder you created most likely did not set up the correct permissions because the server was upgraded and not a new install. You have to find an existing folder you can scan to. Once you find the fold copy and rename it and you will be all set. Good Luck

Re: Duplexed Copies

Hi...I would rotate the original & paper 90 degrees (if size allows) to see if the problem could be related to the paper grain. A crease/fold down the middle will lift the paper up just enough to prevent image transfer...the paper grain in a "cooked" sheet might be doing the same. Greg.
