Its pretty strait forward. Default the scanner to Store File to HDD. At the PC create a desktop shortcut to Web Image Monitor. Have customer click on Print Job/Store File -------> Document server. They will be able to download the document. The real problem though is you are encountering a lazy IT guy. Any IT guy worth his salt will help you set up scan to folder.

Can anyone help with figuring out a way to access documents that were stored to the HDD through the scanner function, by creating a shortcut on a users desktop? I have an account that IT only allows scanning to the mfp's HDD and there are other manufacturers within the account such as Konica that can do this via their pagescope software. There are just too many steps for their liking to go to the web image monitor and then click through to see the documents stored and then save them back to...

@Ricoh914 I'm not sure, even though the bullet points suggest it will. Since Ricoh has a big push in production I would tend to think they will still offer the 65 and 80 light production color. The IM C7010 was a BIG surprise to me, I'll see if there is anything else I can find out
