Another thing all of these new machines including the 6502 and 8100 have is an insanely fast ADF, 120 sheets per minute or 240 images per minute duplex. Everyone that sees these comments how fast the ADF is.

same here, equally as impressive is that it will scan to USB just as fast. Customer wanted to take the scanned files back to the office after the demo to make sure they were searchable and check the quality

Art - Please note that the optional Smart Operation Panel does not support the MP C8002SP engine. That is an option on Ricoh's new new 30/35/45/55/60 Color MFPs.

I was more concerned by the subject title that was called "MP 8002SP Web Browser Reviewed". I just didn't want any confusion that the new color '02 models supported Smart Operation Panel.

We bought one of the C300 when they were clearing them out and imagine my surprise to learn we also had to put toner in it! All the other printer based models come with starter cartridges. Anyway, the toner cost more than the fricken machine!!

What does "drop out colour send" mean?
Comment

Re: Ricoh MP 401SPF Spec Review

Art Post ·
Drop Out Color Send When scanning in B&W, users can choose to NOT capture a specific color -red, green, or blue - from a scanned page. This is useful when extracting data from forms, or to enhance OCR scanning accuracy by narrowing the range of color characters to be interpreted as editable text.

Can you expand on Distributed Scan management? I am use to the idea of creating one touch buttons or templates on the copier control panel to enable scanning or workflows. How is this different? Or is it just marketing?

New Ricoh MP C306ZSP & MP C306ZSPF Spec Review

For those of us that sell Ricoh MFP's, we know that the Ricoh MP C305SP is a little long in the tooth these days.  Personally, I only had one problem with the Ricoh MP C305SP, and that was the size of the color display.  That 4.3 inch LCD...

New Ricoh W6700SP Wide Format Review

Art Post ·
It's been more than five years since Ricoh has updated the Ricoh W3601 wide format printer/scanner/copier. I wasn't sure exactly how long, but googled it and found the press release for the MP 3601 that was dated March 10th, 2011. Far too long for me, but at least there is something new and different to offer our W3601 clients an upgrade path. Ricoh's wide digital wide format entry started with the MP W240 (4ppm), then the MP W2400 (4PPM), later came the MP W3600 (6ppm), and the last one of...

New Ricoh MP C401 C401SR Spec Review

Art Post ·
I was surprised to say the least. I knew there was a 40 page per minute color A4 (letter & legal size paper) due soon, but, I thought it might be an entirely new clean sheet design since the older MP C300 & MP C400 were never big movers for us. As I reviewed the specs of the new MP C401 I realized that not much has changed at least feature wise since the MP C300/400. Yes, you can now add an optional 10.1 Wide Super VGA Smart Operation panel that...

Just a note for everyone, these specs are coming from a brochure that sourced on the web for Ricoh Asia Pacific. I referenced that series but the MP 301's, in our experience pushed the limits of that engine too far and we've had so many premature PCU f ailures that we're getting them out of the field as fast as we can. Ricoh has done the same thing with the duplicator line, as soon as the finally figure it out they start rebranding Duplo which has a 5 million page life, not much for a dupe.
