Re: Linkedin success with DM's

Jesse ·
In my experience, connecting with c-level execs on Linkedin has about the same success level as picking up the phone or e-mailing. Since you have more visibility into the execs work history, interests, and connections, LI can feel like the "magic prospecting pill" when in fact it is just another avenue to try and establish connection. Whatever ratio you put into number of phone calls, translates to number of meetings, translates to numbers of sales. The same formula holds true for messaging...

Spending more on coffee than copiers

Art Post ·
Conversation with CFO today. Looking to reduce costs, has 200 or so employees, and the topic of K-cups came up. Company is spending $100 per day on those K-cups, open seven days a week. My quick math told me they are spending more on coffee than their six MFP devices with service and supplies. He stated the cost of each Kcup is about fifty cents. Thought that was interesting, and now I can use that when selling to other accounts, "You're probably spending more on your coffee than you...

How Many Leases Do You Have?

Art Post ·
By 1 January 2019, public companies will be expected to comply with ASC 842 and IFRS 16, the two new standards that will impact lease accounting. These rules are changing how firms recognize, measure, and disclose operating leases, and how they report them on corporate balance sheets. As CFOs prepare their companies for the new standards, one of the biggest operational challenges is understanding how many leases they hold. It seems straightforward, but operational leases have previously only...

It is approx a 90 mile drive from New Jersey to New York, the two most deadliest states in the USA for COVID-19. Today, New Jersey, in three months, has 153,000 active cases and 11,000 dead with no end in sight. I understand the desire to get back to work and earn income but to think the the Governor is going to suddenly change his statewide health plans over a law suit from a gym club owner seems optimistic.

SSG thanx for comment. There is an end in sight, the curve is now on a steep decline with those testing posting and those in the hospital now. Many are sick and tired of the restrictions that have been placed for so many in our state. I agree the Governor will never change his mind, however if these gym owners win their law suit the state will re-open like Wisconsin did. The Governor of Wisconsin was also sued and lost, the next day the state was wide open.
