SSG that's an awesome video! You can send links to clients, and direct them to your channel. It's a virtual demo that keeps on giving. Kudos I have some of the same issues with getting appointments through Linkedin, however I know of several peeps that use Linkedin as their only source for prospecting and they are doing well. I will keep working it since I have a Navigator account now

Re: Need HELP! Kyocera Color A3 question

dimaxusa ·
Top three points I make when against Kyocera. #1. Take them color samples from your device and any Kyocera because the color output is sub par on all units. If you don’t have access to one look in your crm for an account you co-exist with Kyocera in. Or the next time you have a knock out make some samples and keep them in a binder. If color quality is important to the customer it will be a win. Another point is showing them you get what you pay for, meaning 3 tier color is what they have...

Jason, Talk to KIP again I have never heard of KIP asking dealers to stock machines(maybe one for the demo floor). Plus KIP is releasing the new 800 series next month and these machines look like they should be good sellers. 8 full color "D"s per minute and 10K less that the Oce colorwave. We sell or have sold all the major lines of wide format, KIP, Oce, Ricoh, even going back to Xerox. All our sales reps and techs prefer the KIPs. GR

Had a demo years ago on a fax machine. Had a big wheel from corporate wanting to do a ride along with a rep for the day. Customer wanted to see quality and asked one of their customers to send a test fax. As all the admin complained about the speed, the corp guy explained that a very detailed fax would take more time because of memory issues. As everyone crowded aroud the fax to innspect, a very vivid porn image was reproduced with striking detail. We made the sale

Several years back we had a demo in a pastor's home office for a couple of days when he called in because the machine was misfeeding. We had been selling him on the reliability of this model, so he wasn't very pleased with the performance. When our technician went out he opened the side of the copier and found that one of the Pastor's kids poured cornflakes into the copier. We got it cleaned up and he bought the demo.

i'd say 1 every other week, but still most coming from brochure/pencil close. Its only hard if ppl arent serious buyers or serious about you. Our demo room is probably the envy of every dealership around- its like a new macintosh, unashamedly modern in appearance but your not afraid to play with it.. compared to other showrooms that are more like an apple II - all the current products (except seg 1) and all of the software we'd sell is ready to go.

This is a very good question Fisher. You are right this is becoming more common as prospects do not want a sales pitch they just want facts & numbers. Then you give them for what they ask. They really don't care about a solution they want the bottom line. Many of those places will give you ONE shot only so you better come in with some good numbers since you will not have a 2nd chance. Otherwise it comes down to a price war then you really lose because the last person they talk with in...

The demo and product were great. I have some questions about latency with on-premise SharePoint and Exchange. I would think UDOCX would access to both from the Internet which means users would have to configure their sites for external access. Obviously with a complete cloud solution using Office 365/BPOS this is not an issue. I just attended a Microsoft event for Office 365 and it is quite an improvement over BPOS.

Is anyone actually selling ComColors. Our original order is still all still sitting in their boxes in the rafters a year later with the exception of the one we have set up for demo and one that we took out for a short rental. Freaking white elephants. Can't get past the price and poor image quality. Customers either think its too expensive or they don't find the quality to be acceptable. Quality is ok if you use the special paper but people don't want to hear that either.

QUESTION #5: Great! When could we begin? or Great! When is your next long copy run? The object of the fifth question is to pin the prospect down to a begining date or time or quantity to start doing business. In many cases you can sell a trial demo. Where big ticket products are involved (copiers) a puppy dog approach will work best (leave your product for the customer to use for a couple of days), or take the prospect to visit a satisfied customer and see your product in action and get a...

From: Ted Sent: 12/3/2001 6:21 AM I have a sample of the wood. It is real redwood, that has been copied on. the customers love it. If you can get some of the wood for samples, I believe in a tight situation, running this through the machine could make the sale. Then you could leave a piece for the competition to run through their machine on demo. Who knows, the competition may be foolish enough to try it and it may ruin their machine. (wishful thinking).

Unfortunately, due to the fact our 1055 does not offer scanning, we are at a disadvantage, but only on the surface. If you have rapport with the office manager and have not dug into their applications deeply, DO SO! I have been very successful with productivity chart comparisons when up against the competition with the same engine speed. By dropping down, you may be able to justify the 1045, and it may not be that much of a difference. For example, look for user walk up for single copies,...

Oh yea, thanks also to Gregory for his reply - unfortunatly I found out the hard way that the 1045 (as well as a used 550 or 650) is way too slow in mixed size original mode. I did the demo on a 650 right in front of the customer and the machine was way slower that their old Mita 55 cpm machine. These machines operate at 10 cpm - even the 650! The 551, 700, 1060, 1070 have a much faster speed of around 30 cpm.
