The KM 1Rate Program & How to Sell Against It Webinar
In the last few weeks, I've had many inquires about the KM 1Rate program. That's the program that give clients unlimited clicks for a monthly fee. Yes, I stated unlimited clicks. With the help of P4P Hotel members I've been able to understand the terms and conditions of the program. Once you understand those you can put together a strategy to point out the good, the bad and the ugly. In the webinar we'll focus on those terms and conditions and the offer up a strategy to sell against it.

Four Ways to Compete Against the KM Flat Rate Program
Recent talk tracks in our NJ sales office has been about the new KonicaMinolta unlimited click program. Just recently one of our reps thought that they couldn't compete with the One Rate program for three A3 MFP's. Those three MFP's were doing a decent volume of color each month. When we did some more digging with the clients color volume and the monthly cost for unlimited pages, we figured the revenue for Konica Minolta was two cents for every color page. Just as the rep was ending the...

Hi Trica, thanx for the mention! I appreciate the kudos. Not only am I am rep for a Ricoh dealer, but I also am the CEO of the Print4Pay Hotel. Yes, we do have a Premium/VIP membership for our members, and yes there is a cost for that. Premium/VIP members get complete access to the Print4Pay Hotel. Did you mean to link to a KonicaMinolta document that was last updated in September of 2015? Because the One-Rate program has only been available for the last five months or so. If you'd like the...

Re: The KM 1Rate Program & How to Sell Against It Webinar
Tricia, I find it interesting that you suggest that Art Post may have a conflict of interest because he sells Ricoh. What you don't know is the what's and why's surrounding the creation of the p4photel. I know because I was there. Ricoh used to have a message board where Ricoh reps could dialog with one another throughout the country. That is until Ricoh reps started sharing even the ugly (which every manufacturer has). Ricoh began to shut down critical conversation ABOUT RICOH, even going...

Re: The KM 1Rate Program & How to Sell Against It Webinar
Just an update on the recent thread by a P4P member. She deleted her threads that I replied to a few days ago. Seems now she would like me to delete the quotes also. The blog that she had posted on Linkedin has also been removed. I'm not going to comment on this anymore, but to delete the quotes that I posted would not be fair to the members of the site. We need to learn as much as possible about the One Rate from KM, and then need to decide if we want to beat them or join them. Recent talk...

How interesting that she deleted her LinkedIn article and thread comments. Maybe she found out that there was a catch? Once again a great reminder that there is a difference between bashing your competitors and educating yourself and others on the differences between them.

Re: The KM 1Rate Program & How to Sell Against It Webinar
If a client prints 5k per month and you say "the volume over 5k is free"....what are they going to do...print 10k per month? Wow, they change their workflow for 5k x .0065. How about if the customer says we are getting charged .07 per page color and you can show them .025 or .022 per page. Now that's a game changer when a company is running 5k color per month. Did you know 70% of the color print volume has less than 10% coverage, yet the industry still charges at 20% rate?

So the customer is going to toss printer assets? No cpp escalators on the one rate? No requirements for the contract: minimum pages or hardware? Dear Mr. Customer: "As long as you buy MFP's at List Price" and renew every 3 years, we can give you this great program...."

The Week in Copiers Fifteen Years Ago
The Week in Copiers Fifteen Years Ago The Last Week of March 2006 Fifteen years ago I was forty-nine years old. I started the Print4Pay Hotel forum back in 2000 via an MSN communities page. Back there there was just a handful of us that chatted back and forth about copier, speeds, feeds and the industry. When ever anyone asks me about the Print4Pay Hotel I tell them that our members are the best of the best of our industry because they have a passion for what they do and a thirst for...
