The Power of Pull Marketing

Art Post ·
Note from Art: I'd like to introduce Nathan Dube to every one. I contacted Nathan a few weeks ago and asked him if he could write a few blogs in reference to "pull marketing" and the power of adding video to your web site and You Tube. Video is the go to choice for clients that are searching for a product or a service. It's even more popular than blogs. I sure Ray S can attest to that. Please feel free to leave a comment. In the near future I'll also be introducing video here and on You...

What a difference 10 years can make right?  Ten years ago, I was in the money with the Ricoh 240W. There was nothing else like it, we held margins, sold a boat load of systems and make excellent commissions.  Alas, everything comes to and...

Finally, after 487 days I was able to experience an MFP connected to the world wide web!  Yeah, yeah, I understand that I'm a little late to the game and should have dedicated some time earlier, however I did not have access to the new MPC 8002SP...

Color Label Press University "Glossary of Terms" Part Six, Course One

Art Post ·
In a previous blog from this week titled How Many Labels Did We Count on the Ricoh MP3601SP? I wrote about all of the black & color labels that I found on one of our wide format devices in our showroom. In addition I just noticed that none of the pictures uploaded to the blog! Arrgghh! Thus, I will try to get those pictures uploaded this week. My point is that there are labels everywhere and we're just not paying attention them because we never thought that we could play in that market.

This Week in the Copier Industry 10 Years Ago, The Second Week of March 2008

Art Post ·
Ah, 2008 and not one of my favorites years. The economy was tanking. Clients that were at the end of the lease were opting to buy the equipment instead of upgrading. Credit became really tight, especially for start ups, and many companies were closing, declaring bankruptcy or one day they were open and the next day they were not. Some say that the economy really didn't rebound until 2015. Any way you slice it, it was a horrendous seven years. Looking back, I would also tend to think that the...

Color Label Press University "Glossary of Terms" Part Eight, Course One

Art Post ·
Here's a short story for all. About a month ago my wife asked me to go shopping with her because of a recent snow storm here in the East. I don't like food shopping, but at times I do need to do my part. My wife took me to some new fangled market, and I must admit I was floored with the quality and selection of the foods that were offered. However what intrigued me the most is that 25% of all the products for sale had a custom color label. There were hundreds if not a thousand of these...

The Ten Yen Trip

I guess this could have been my first blog! Back in 2002 I wrote a journal while on a Ricoh sponsored trip to Japan. ITEX 2019 Review

Art Post ·
Hey, what can I say. ITEX 2019 was awesome for a number of reasons. I arrived late Monday evening and was picked up at McCarren by my new brother Pete. We had no more than 30 minutes to chat that night on our drive to the MGM Grand, however we spent the entire next day to getting to know each other better. This was my first visit to the MGM and I thought venue was incredible. I could have done without the forty-five minute wait to check in though. Wednesday Wednesday morning and I'm up at...

COVID19 Remote Working Day One Hundred and Fifty-Two of Selling Copiers Just a few minutes ago I asked my VP of sales if he saw the video I posted with last nights blog. This Week in Copiers Twenty Years Ago Second Week of February 2003 With all of the recent news about China with the recent the recent shooting of the SPY balloon and the downing of three "UFOs" (suspected from China), will this alert MFP buyers to ask "where are your MFPs manufactured"? I remember in the eighties when many buyers wanted no part of copiers that were manufactured in Japan. Of course that all ended when Xerox partnered with Fuji and all copiers where manufactured in Japan.
