Equitrac/Safecom/ecopy/ppdm its too small of a component of Nuance. I will bet you they split the document imaging division into a separate company.

I think buying Nuance would be a great opportunity for Samsung to get deeper in the solutions side of the industry. However, I 100% agree with Yeti that it's too small of a division of Nuance. Knowing that iPhone's Siri uses Nuance technology gives Samsung huge opportunities to work with or against Apple.

I haven't installed it primarily because I prefer applications that are more manufacturer agnostic & can be embedded in any compatible manufacturer's product that we sell or that may exist from a previous vendor. The only time I've proposed it was with a prospect that wanted single sign-on via HID card for advanced scanning, copy tracking & secure print release. This can be done with Streamline NX & Globalscan.

Hi everyone, I'm an active Ricoh re-seller in Belgium. We have a customer who ask us the following. It'is a law firm who want to personalize the metadata of the scanned files. They have some MPC5503SP equipped with Equitrac. They want to have the name of the company in each scanned file as author's name. Does somebody have any experience in this kind of case ? The only thing you could do is install the OCR, and then turn on "auto naming" of the scanned file. as long as you had the corporate name in the first 140 characters of the scanned document. The file would then have that corp name or user name in naming convection of the file
