Xerox is going to need new hardware/engine technology to remain a major global market player. Fuji Xerox/Fujifilm just announced that it will end its technology partnership with Xerox (basically won't provide Xerox with OEM engines) in March 2021 and the company plans to sell its hardware in Western markets (EU and US) for the first time (and try to compete against Xerox). Xerox needs a new game plan and buying HP would make sense b/c HP owns all of its engine technology.
