Reply to "New W2400 pricing!"

Couple of new things I found out about the w2400-w3600 today, the system will be capable of reading either Linear Feet or Square Feet (Yea!!)!

The ability to use web image monitor in order to merge existing Legacy Documents with new documents, this can all be done through the Document Server. Also, we can store scanned sets of drawings in the email section of the hard drive (document server) so they can be eamiled out on a moments notice to any and all cleints that are in the address book!

The new w2400 will have a most robust max volume recommendation. Document Mall will be added in the near future allowing us to have a powerful document management solution for wide format documents.

The LDP on the base new w2400 is only $300 more than the old 240w, the new w2400 includes GW architecture, hard drive, Web Image Monitor, better halftones, Document Server and network card along with usb port. Plus the margins have increased by 5% (yipee)!!

GW architecture will open up a wide variety of print embedded solutions for the w2400-w3600 such as Print Director, Equisys, and Sepia Line.

In talking with people from Ricoh we will have a color scan solution and also a print only version of the w2400 in the near future. As more is passed along to me, I will share as much as I can so we can have a heads up and be able to move these moves once they hit the street! I can't wait for the print only version, that system is goona lick some butt and allow us to add the priunt version to existing placements of 240ws.

Final not of the day is in reference to the pricing that I posted above, it seems when Ricoh surveyed the pricing from the other manufacturers it was all based on a dual configuration. So, when competeting in dual roll systems the new w2400 will come out on top.

See the attached file I received from Ricoh today.
