Twenty five years ago I started out as a wide-eyed journalism student working as an intern at a community newspaper. Great fun - had the run of the place from typesetting on those old Compuserve papertape punches, hot waxing layouts, opaqueing page negatives, getting my hands brown rolling film in a darkroom, even writing once in a while when the editor trusted me :-).
While I didn't go into journalism professionally, I am still amazed how often now I see a dovetail between what I learned back then to what I do now in the copier industry. Of course the technology is completely obsolete, but my experience buys me some serious credibility with our Print4Pay clients.
