Bingo. Server connections are limited by the amount of valid licenses, workstation connections are limited to 10. This is true for all current Windows OS.

These are "active" connections so if the users only occasionally connect they won't be a problem.

The Default amount of idle time before disconnecting a user is 15 minutes. This can be changed under "Local Security Policy". click on Security Settings, Local Policies, Security Options and you will see "Amount of idle time required before disconnecting session".
