Mac slow printing

I have a customer who has uncovered a strange situation for which I'm trying to find a resolution.  The initial complaint was that all printing to the Savin MPC3003 is taking a long time.  In trying to duplicate the problem I was able to identify at least 1 known issue that I can reproduce.

When trying to print a 16MB PowerPoint presentation from their Mac OSX 10.10.4 with the PostScript driver the document takes over 5 minutes just to RIP the job.  If you look in the print queue it takes a long time for the application to even deliver the job to the print spooler and then it says "copying print data" for what seems like forever.  However, if I print the job with the generic PCL driver it works fine (but it limits color capability and other print features).  The same file printed from a Windows PC with PCL6 driver is no problem.  I have also reproduced the problem with a MacBook Air 10.10.4 and a Mac iBookG4 10.4.11.

It seems to be a Mac/PostScript issue.  I don't know if it has something to do with the PPD or what but I'm looking for some resolution other than just saying it's a Mac issue.  I have exported the file as a PDF and still have issues.  Interestingly enough, if I export the file as JPGs I can print the slides without a problem.

One would think, Adobe (PDF) + Mac + PostScript everything should be good.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.
