As an extension to my previous message, here are the differences in the E710 and E810. E710 has 366 mhz. processor vs. 500mhz. for the 810. Unless the user is ripping very large files, this speed difference will probably not be worth the higher price. The 810 also has a dual processor option and a larger hard drive as well as option for a 2nd hard drive.
The 810 also can run the Fiery DocBuilder Pro page impositioning software and Fiery Freeform software. Briefly, DB Pro allows the user to combine the work of different users even across different platforms into one document. For instance, if you have 12 different designers each designing one page for a calendar and some use macs and some pc's, you can combine and alig their work on the fiery and output as a single document.
The Freeform software allows customization of a basic document on the fiery. For example, you have a direct mail going to 100 clients and you want to personalize each one with the clients' name etc. You can do this by adding the customization the basic document resulting the fiery ripping one document and printing vs. 100 different documents, increasing speed and reducing network traffic dramatically.
