The tech needs to check SP-1960. A setting of 0 will tell the machine that only the bypass is available. If they have 1roll feeder it should be set to 1. If they have 2 roll feeder it should be set to 2. If they have one roll feeder and paper cassette, it should be set to 3 and if they have 2 roller feeder and paper cassette it should be set to 4.

The machine will not auto detect accessories, you have to tell it what it has.
