Here's something I'm not understanding at least with the copiers and distribution. Dex has dealer agreements with with Kyocera, KonicaMinolta and Canon in their geographical locations. Could those dealer agreements be transferred or renegotiate with Staples? If so could Staples then offer all of those devices nationwide? I was just on Dex's web site and at least for now their web sites tells me that they are still is the "push" mode and not the "pull" mode for their copiers aka imaging devices

Could one of the goals of Staples be to enter the A3 market? Although the transition from A3 to A4 is 'soon to come' for many, many years now, it still didn't happen. With this acquisition, Staples has possibilities to sell A3 equipment of Kyocera, Konica Minolta and Canon, and that’s where currently the money (still) is... I think that many XBS dealers will be in total did array with the transfer of Xerox accounts. XBS will have to hire and training sales people, techs and admin. In additional all of those peeps will need training. I saw this happen with Ricoh Corp transfer to dealers. Many dealers were overwhelmed. I imagine the same will happen with XBS. Hope this helps

I'd say its a really good time to be a mid-sized dealer in the 5-10 million dollar range. My understanding is they have eliminated the Classic Applications which I think is a terrible idea since so many of my customers are upgrading existing Ricoh machines. I like to make things as simple as possible and quite honestly customer's don't need all the extra fluff being thrown at them.

Thanks for commenting I am not worried about labor, I am more worried about consumables and yield parts. Our mif (mostly SMB) is producing less b/w and more color. And we have many customers who has outsourced large print jobs - fx. real estate agents who prints flyers. I am sure that they would bring that back home if the only cost is time and paper. So, some may change their behavior. Collecting counters is not a big deal any more - we are a Ricoh reseller (since 1980!) - and most of the

I don't have a list, however it's my understanding that almost any laser printer can be used for MICR printing, as long as you can find a provider that sells the MICR toner cartridges. I took a quick look on Amazon and saw many generic MICR toner cartridges for Lexmark. Hope this helps

If you search the NYSE or NASDAQ you will not find Lexmark except in the past tense. In the USA, Lexmark's Chief Financial Officer came from Huawei in 2017 and was first educated in Shanghai, China. So, a little more on this we used Ricoh Smart Device Accounting for monitoring copies and prints to the new MP C501SPF's. Users need to put pins codes in for print and a report is gathered each month by the administrator for bill back. No cards required. Our client uses both MAC's PC's with no issues. Hope this helps. Special thanx to the p4p hotel member that emailed this to me today. What I noticed was that the proposal states that the one rate is "locked" for the term of the lease. Like I stated in of the webinars this can happen with approval. However the price book calls for the flat rate service on the C258 for $102 per month. Thus that's $23 per month over the published rate which nets another $1,380 in revenue. IS anyone else coming across proposals where KM is locking the price for the term of...

What is even more scary is how your commission cheques will fall in $ value if you only sell A4 copiers. The copier/printer market is not getting any larger and if a commission sales rep focuses on selling lower $ value A4 boxes, they are going to have to make a lot more sales calls and sell a lot more boxes to earn the same money.
